Hi. I know I need some advice before I jump into this process. All I'm trying to do is make the process less time-consuming and less drawnout as much as possible.
I have my GC; I am a LPR awaiting removal of conditions. I intend to marry my Philippino sweetheart in June 28th in the Philippines. What do I need to do and what forms should I/we present to secure her entry to come to the USA?
Thanks for your help. helpsmilie.gif

I don't believe LPRs can petition to bring someone. You might consider citizenship.

LPRs can petition for spouses but I think it takes a few years to get the spouse here.

You can file the I-130 once you are married and when you get citizenship get it upgraded and it will go through the system faster.

you might be right. I did take a look at the current visa bulletin and it indicates that for family immigration, specifically spouses, the USCIS is processing petitions dated 15 April 2003 for the Philippines.

As a citizen you can petition under the K-1 or K-3 requirement which are much less than five years.
