When you get the packet,it will tell you,,,,have your husband start getting his papers....police,birth,all original marriage licenses and contracts, take them to an english translator, get them certified .It doesnt look from what I see that casa processes through NVC...Just send in the230 when you get the instruction packet....ITs hard to do the shortcuts on the ds 230...you willfor sure need two passport photos and to handwrite present on 20 and 22 because the adobe script writewill not let you and they will rfe you for the questions and the passport photos even though they dont explain that...I am nvc right now and have sent everything in.You will probably need to wait to get the instruction packet....cause all the embassies are changing theway they process ..You can chance it and send in the ds230 with nothinng else and get rfed for the stuff...(shortcuts)or you can be safe a d collect your docs and wait for the packet

Boo boo, we just finished doing this in Morocco. I was told that you needed help and I should look for you. Look for translators who are certified by the courts to do your translations. They are pre-certified and are allowed to make that claim on the translatoion. You can get a list from the court as to whom they are.

Be very careful about what you send in. All of your official documents from Moroccan sources must have the little postage stamp looking certification (no "working man's" copies). It's a little more costly, but worth in to save you aggrevation. Send a police report and a court report even if you have never been arrested; both must say "Nothing" to indicate you have no offenses, not simply be left blank. Police and court reports expire, so be aware of the expiration date and prepare to bring updated copies to the interview with you.

They only ask for your passport bio page, but they also want the page with the passport expiration date. Send it, too, make sure all pages have the postage stamp certification.

The new thing is two 2" by 2" passport type photos of the benefiary/applicant. Send those with the package and write your name and case number on the back. We used clear plastic pockets with adhesive backings that we stuck to a paper to put the photos in. That makes them easy to see. Easy access and handling is a plus for all. We also put card weight divider paper between each document with tabs along the bottom with the document title so they can easily flip thru our papers. We used a cover letter with a list including the DS-230 and each attached document in order by tab number. Make sure you put the NVC barcode page after this cover letter.

Don't forget to write in "PRESENT" on the address line for your current address. The omission of this seems be a common mistake. Also, remember the DS-230 is about the beneficiary, not the USC. Answer the questions accordingly.

Don't stress, there is help. You can also reach me on VT.

Remember that ALL papers must have your case number written at the top.

He just has to find someone in Casa who does certified translations for the embassy.I am sure the embassy can give him a list of translators. I found mine on the Tunisia website ( embassy for the US in TUNIS.) Mine can help your husband but he would have to DHL to Tunisia. I am sure without a shadow of a doubt that there are certified translators in Casablanca. But frankly to be honest with you, you really need to wait for your instruction packet... My lawyer received mine and it has changed for everyone in the last few months...

You need to pay careful attention to 20 and 22 on the application and write in the word present because the script in adobe wont let you... Also you will need to submit 2 passport style photos. This is in the instruction packet but for all these people doing shortcuts, they are messing up all over the place because the NVC isnt notifying people doing that (LOLOLOLOLOL)... I am telling you because someone I know got RFEs for both of those things and no one told them and the adobe script writer fill in the blanks wont let you. You have to hand write present
