My filipino mother in law, a LPR of the US is wanting to travel back to P.I. in July. However her passport expires in May. How/where do LPRs renew their passports? If anyone knows please P.M. the details... THANKS john&jean

You renew a Philippines passport to the nearest Philippine consulate that has jurisdiction over where she lives.

We renewed Claudeth's passport at the embassy in Los Angeles. The renewal part would have been easy but we also changed her name to her married name and that was a whole bunch of time and fun wacko.gif

hi.

You renew at the philippine consulate. your in Dallas and I do belive Los Angeles is the one you to get it renewed at. My ex needed to renew her passport and at that time we had to send it to Los Angeles.

Your first step is to download some forms:
http://www.philippineembassy-usa.org/Downloads.htm

Next get your "Embassy jurisdiction" and contact them to find out how to send the PP for renew, how much it will cost & any other details they may find necessary to advice you on. Otherwise, you can get all this info around your Embassy jurisdiction website.
