Hello VJ members!
Hello. My name is Larry and I have been here a VJ for awhile reading all the information regarding K1, yet rarely post. Thanks to everyone for their wealth of information, I could not imagine trying to figure all this stuff out alone. As of last Friday our petition was approved by the NVC and they gave me the MNL case number over the phone. Using the DHL tracking tip, I believe that our petition is now in Manila and we are just waiting on the interview date. I plan to start calling the embassy next week to try and obtain the interview date. I was thinking about having Lizel go pay the 650 Delbros fee now so that they can begin processing all their paperwork. I was just curious if this would be OK, since we don't have an interview date yet? I was thinking that by the time that Delbros forwards the paperwork over to the NSO, we will be in the system and have an interview date. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Larry

In my opinion its fine because your fiancee only needs to send in a text message with her name, case number, date & time of deposit as indicated in the deposit slip. You will just have to find the instructions on the US embassy website. I paid my doc verification 2 months before the interview date and I was not put into AR. Just tell your fiancee to call Delbros to confirm that they received her text message and her deposit.

I think paying your doc verification now is a great idea. Since your information was forwarded to the USEM it should be in the system already.
