One of the problems I have with the Google search option is that it returns rubbish. Today's example.... I was searching for a post regarding the Trafalgar Square freeze. The results appeared to return a relevant hit, however the link has nothing to do with the topic.....

That's because that Trafalgar Square topic is listed under the 'Similar Topics' in that other thread.

One reason why I don't like using the Google search.

I guess because of the word "great"....

I think the Trafalgar thread doesn't show up in the Google search because it isn't really mentioned in the thread just in the title... unsure.gif

Yes, it will only search for words within the thread, not the title, including the words in the similar topics section.

That's why the forums search is superior IMO, because you can search in the title and/or the contents.

Google Search will search the entire site. The google search has some options I can look into that may improve it as well.
