Hello there,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how strick the interview process is in Vietnam. The proof they most like to see and questions they ask about the paperwork she brings with her. I just do not want to hit any snags and have to send something later.
Thank You

If there is a more strict Consulate, I would be hard pressed to name it. Be prepared and ready with plenty of evidence of bona fide relationship. The intending immigrant should know the things about the USC fiance(e) any real fiance(e) would know. The USC financial papers should be in good order as well.

Would it help if the individual was present for the interview?

The visa applicant must be present for the interview. The USC is allowed to take part in the interview at some Consulates but I'm not sure about Vietnam.

I plan on being present with my Fiance during the interview to help show a bona fide relationship.

That doesn't necessarily demonstrate a bonafide...

At the Vietnam Embassy, the petitioner is NOT allowed to attend the interview. you can go to the embassy with your finace, but you won't be allowed to enter.

It can help, but you'll want to verify that your attendance is allowed. As you see, in this OP's case, it is not.

They will not let you in BUT a little trick is to give your Wife your Passport and have her present it with hers. This lets them know you are in Country and awaiting the decision. It's strictly a matter of opinion as to the benefits of being there but what could it hurt?
