Well Lek's interview is coming up. It's this Tuesday!!!!

Some of you remember the crap I went through with setting vacation time and buying tickets b/4 having the interview date and then when we got Packet 4 the interview was way after when I thought it would be... well, I never heard back from the Embassy so we moved our plans out right....

Well guess what... the Embassy called her last week and asked her if she wanted to move the interview to May 27th!!!!!!!

OMGWTFBBQ?!?!?!?!? So are you going to change your tickets again?! I mean - it seems a long time to wait until September if your interview is May now!! Great news though!! You must be totally made up!!

OMG yeah I know - less than five weeks now!! I am sooo nervous but the apartment is looking good... I am sooo hoping we get it!!!

AND I just found out that the street fair they have on Main Street Palm Springs every Thursday allows vendors to market their own products - so I might be able to make a go of my jewellery business through that - it's a start at least!! I am sooooooo excited about that!!

Okay so the interview is over!!!!!

Questions were simple enough:
How did you meet?
Who long have you known him?
When did you last see each other?
And a bit of chat about when she quit working...

She was nervous as hell and doesn't speak much English (Thai) so she basically forgot every date. Some of the people being interviewed b/4 her got someone who spoke Thai but the person interviewing her didn't and she didn't ask for someone to translate she just suffered through.

Now we are both on pins and needles until 3pm tomorrow when she can go back to the Embassy and pick up her passport WITH THE VISA IN IT!!!!!

Okay now that this step is over I need to try to explain why it's better to wait until I come over Aug-30 and we come back as planned on Sept-21 because of the advance parole deal. It's not the money or anything it's the processing time and the "risk" of not being allowed back in.

Oh my Buddha... now I need to try and explain the rest of this whole process (work permit, SSN, AOS etc...).

She flew out at 2100 on 6/3 china time and arrived here 23.50 6/3 usa time, china is a day ahead of the usa, so when its 6am here MST its 8pm the next day there, confused

I think I'm officially the last July filer to be interviews (well my fiance). We had our interview this morning and were approved. I think that should be all of us from July now. Phew!!

Hey while I'm thinking about it what do any of you know about the success rate of getting a work permit stamp in the passport upon entry on a K1? I've not read much about that on here. Do any of you know if anyone has asked and gotten it or asked and not gotten it (or even asked)?

JFK should definitely give her a temp EAD. This thread might be of help as to whether others will or not.
