Thanks and good luck on the bid for your house. That's great news.
I checked the guides and I couldn't find anywhere the fee. What is with the biometrics? For him or for me? I thought the interview was all he had. Hmmm - I guess I have to go back and read them again. Do you do this before you can get married? Sorry, I'm just a bit lost - I'm still on cloud 9.
Sounds like you're on your way. Congratulations.
First, AOS is started once you are married. You need your marriage certificate for it. And yet more passport style photos!!!
Biometrics is for Phil - he will have to go to the nearest USCIS office to you and have his fingerprints taken (again!!), they'll take a photo of him and have him sign a form. The cost ($80) is included in the AOS fee of $1,010.
You guys may or may not be subjected to an AOS interview. Its roughly 50/50 chance. If your case is transferred to CSC you'll likly be approved without an interview.
Don't forget to take Phil to apply for his SS# once he's been here for 2 weeks. Bring his birth cert and passort and the completed form which you can get from SS online.
Its really not that complicated. I just printed off the guides and checked things off the list as we completed them. I found it easier than the K1!
