I saw that too and I thought of you the minute I saw it! Appears UK petitions get approved mighty fast as there was a couple other ones that were in the 19-23 day mark in the past couple of weeks. I'm watching for your approval soon and hope I will be next in line! Appears there is not much logic to the way they process them............

Did you gals ever show your budgets to your husbands?

Didn't have an actual budget till my hubby came.

I've always had a budget. I can't live without one. When I was in my 20s my friends would laugh at me for using COUPONS (whatever). I was saving at least $10.00 per trip to the grocery store. And I buy EVERYTHING off season. Bought a pair of boots that was $279 org. price at Macys's -- I paid $39.99 for it. I can't beat that. My brother bought a floor demo TV that was selling for $2995 (new) for $595. He's had it for 2 years now no problems. I love bargains. I have friends that flat out REFUSE to shop at Walmart, Target, Sears, Kmart. I just don't get it. I tried to explain to my girlfriend if you can find the SAME white blouse at sears for $19.99 why pay $79.00 for it at Lord and Taylors.

i am feeling fine...i have offically reached the point where i am just uncomfortable and just feel tired all the time.....
your little girl is SO SO cute!!!! how are you doing adjusting to everything?

My girlfriend has a theory that more people are having girls now because of all the hormones in the foods we eat! I have no idea if there's any truth to it, but in my childbirth preparation class, out of about 8 of us, only 1 was having a boy!!

The adjustment is hard. I miss my little one every time I have to leave her crying.gif

We're still waiting for Damien's NOA1...he went to his biometrics appointment this morning. His CG expires April 10th.

We're STILL waiting for Tony's Green Card!!! It's been 9 months already since we sent in to "remove conditions". They are soooooo far behind.

Does it matter if you owe taxes every year? What exactly is it that they want to see? Alos, is there a certain amount of money you should have in your bank account? I only plan on providing information on one of my bank accounts, but was wondering if I need to provide information on all three. This of course is whenever I get to this point. Just curious....

As long as you meet the poverty guidelines, you'll be fine. You don't have to show them any of your bank accounts or assets if you make enough money. They just need proof of your income - pay stubs and a letter from your bank stating your total deposits. As for your tax returns, it's just more proof that you made enough money.

Love the pics Rhonda Monique is so adorable. Her name is going to be Jaylyn Diane. Right now we have decided she maybe the first and last. The pregnancy at times has been rough. But I am feeling good right now at this point. Are you surviving being back at work? It is good to have you back. Have a wonderful weekend!

We didn't have a middle name picked out for Monique until I was in the delivery room! Tony came up with it - Savannah - and we all loved it.

Honestly, I know you have heard this a million times, but when that baby is born, it will all be worth it! yes.gif The nausea, the swollen feet, the back pain, etc.... you forget all about it when you hold your little miracle in your arms. I would do it again. Not right away, but maybe in a couple years.

Work sucks mad.gif I'm supposed to be on 2nd shift, but they have everyone on days right now due to a supplier strike. The worst part is having to go to bed early when Monique is still up (she's a little night owl like her mommy!) and I want to spend time with her.

From the infromation I've received already, it seems as if SJG's a good place for locals and tourists. I did hear about them being strict when it comes to people coming on the property (to the lobby area) that are not guests', but I'll have to see when I get there. I'll let you know.

Girl, they are a TOO damn strict with that. I had to cuss them out in June last year. A friend of mine was getting married and Sandals, so a lot of the guest stayed at Jamaica Grande (most of the guest were Jamaica). I had to tell off the security guard, because we walked into the town and they must of changed shift. He's going to quesition my cousins and I about how long we've been on the property. Now, we all had our wristband on. I asked him if he was damn blind and when he stood in front of us I lost it. I said, you would not treat anyone else like that so step the *&%^ off. He wanted to know when whe checked in and that he had not seen us on the property. Main reason I hate staying at resorts, I think they treat the JAMAICANS differently. At the Riu, I purchased day passes for my cousins and the guard wanted them to stay at the gate then walk up. Now, the walk from the gate to the front desk is a long A$$ walk. I said abosolutely NOT! I told them to call the front desk. Why the hell would I try to sneak people into the property, which was what the guard implied. I was so damn upset. When he checked his log, he had my cousin's names there.

I love Jamaica Grande, because everything is right there. Ochi can be a little crazy at times and I'm sure ya'll already know. Hold on to your HANDBAGS...all they have to see is the WRISTBAND and you're an instant target.

That's a shame... They reason don't have to be that strict. When I stayed at Sandcastles in February, Ray bite off our wristbands. I was like omg, what are you doing. He said we don't need people knowing where we stay. It was fine to do at Sandcastles, but probably not at any of the other resorts. I wonder what he'll do when we stay at SJG together in June...

I had to carry on BAD wid the manager at HI! Cause when we (my boys and myself went off the premises) I would cut them off and when we came a ask for new ones! Well they wanted to charge me $25.00 each...everytime!

I had to tell the Manager that if he was willing to take mine and my children's lives into his hands then feel free. I wrote up a document and wanted him to sign it stating if anything happen to my children or myself walking around with those wristbands that my family had the right to sue not only the Holiday Inn , but the Manager personally! Of course he refused to sign it (I wrote on it aware of notification and refusal to sign and faxed it to my cousins Law office in NY (they also practice in JA.)) My cousin called me as was like this aint worth the paper it was written on and what was I up to? laughing.gif

Thank G-d the manager didn't knoa dat and told the staff fuh see wid mi han deh band dem. We must have gotten 6-7 bands when we where there and not a cent was charged!!! laughing.gif laughing.gif Dyam foolishness!

Ken was like 'Wow, dat deh manager don't give into NO ONE!!" But it's because 2 German tourists were robbed by gunpoint & assaulted the week before we got there...that I think he caved!

HATE those flippin' bands!

Bless,Gill

P.S- I called my 202# ...no visa printed ...YET!! whistling.gif

What you up to girl? I just booked a trip to JA (Sunset Jamaica Grande) for June for some family and friends. They had a trip for 5 days for $686 per person, so Ray's going to stay there with me and doesn't even know it. I'm going to surprise him if I can keep my big mouth shut that long. lol

My Meez is at the airport a little early, don't you think??? laughing.gif

We booked a trip for November. We're thinking of staying a few days at Sunset JA Grande. Let me know how it is and if it's friendly for locals. You know how some places are!

That's a same...

Sunny,

Please do not let him do that at Jamaica Grande. Some of guards at Jamaica Grande are RUDE! Worse, if your man is Jamaican. When were were there, they kept following us around. It was so damn funny. He left us alone when we cussed him out and told him to go following the real TOURIST! Tell Ray if he take off his band this time, he might have you pay I think $50/US for each band to replace it. Sometimes, they won't even let you back on the property. Marcel did the same thing when we at the Riu in Negril. I wanted to ring his neck. I was like are you NUTS!...you know how much it's going to cost to replace that. So, I told the guy he didn't know he had to keep it on at all times.

The adjustment is hard. I miss my little one every time I have to leave her crying.gif

HAHA, I call that the "super sperm" when a man is able to produce a boy. The male is the only one who can make a boy cause he has the Y chromosome. From what my sister told me...she's in the RN program and wanting to become a midwife....she said that ironically there are more Y chromosomes than X but the Y chromosomes are slower swimmers than the X so its harder for them to win the race to the egg so to speak. But you know how sometimes you see a couple who has ALL boys...hmmmmm....super sperm. haha. I don't know if ganga has a play in all this but I know they say it cuts your sperm count, so who knows.

Hey Lawny thanks for the prayer it was great !

Rhonda yea girl AGAIN....with having BOYS VS GIRLS....it's a flip of the coin i think...in flipping the coin 100 times how many of those times u get head or tails ? and that's u probability..each time u flip u have a 50/50 chance of getting either same with babies i believe...my mom had my brother with her boyfriend b4 my dad..and had 3 girls with my dad..my aunt had 3 boys and 1 girl with the same man...it's the man that can make it boy or girl cause he carried the XY chromosome...

laughing.gif super sperm ...more X than Y hmmm...

cuts sperm count but the man carries the XY all the time not in some sperm and not in others...it's all comes down to when the chormosomes line up and what part of the male is "taken" since the woman can only give X and the man gives the choice cause of the Y..

I have several ways of dealing with the wristband thing.
I either hide it under my watch or have them put it on LOOSE so I can slide it off at will....
I stayed at the Holiday Inn, and they were HORRIBLE about it, but what they did do for me was exchange the ones I cut off for new ones each time and they were cool about it.
The Jamaica Grande wouldn't though, I ended up hiding it under a big gold bangle.....

I have stayed at both Negril Rius, the Holiday Inn, Swept Away and the Jamaica Grande and I would have to say I prefer the Grande.
It's walking distance to everywhere I need to go and the food is GOOD!
HATED the good at the Holiday Inn.
Riu food was good, but they didn't have much Jamaican food.
The Jamaica Grande is very local friendly I found, they have HUGE numbers of Jamaicans staying there.
They could be a bit snobby at the Riu.

Confession time - my husband and I stayed at the Grande Sept 06, I went back to Jamaica in Dec 06.
So, I had saved both our bands and I'd regualarly put them on and sneak over to the hotel for the day laughing.gif laughing.gif
Some of my friends came down and stayed in Ochi so they got day passes, of course I kept those too whistling.gif

Forgive me for my sins!!
