I might be moving to another country soon and I'm wondering if it's ok for me to go through the CR-1 process in that country ? Such as medical exams and interview? the whole process until i get my visa ? or is there no choice but to go back to my home town for that?

if i have to come back to my home country for everything, can i have things mailed to me in the country where i reside ?

I believe that an immigrant visa petition cannot be moved to another consulate for interview, only the non-immigrant K-Visa cases can be moved.

My hubby moved midway through the cr-1 process and we were able to change consulates...you will just have to notify the uscis before it is forwarded the previous embassy where you resided. I emailed the USCIS and also sent them a letter with the cr-1 paperwork to notify them of this change. What were not able to change was the k-3 embassy..where ever you married is where you must go for that interview. Good luck and if you do move, hope it is a smooth transition!

I knew one of the spousal visas had that restriction, If case makes it way to NVC, you can contact NVC and get it directed to the correct consulate, as well as get foreign address changed.
