Hello,

I am a US citizen, and my Saudi husband is trying to get his conditional residence. He had his final visa interview appt. in Feb. at the Riyadh consulate. We think he was approved, since there weren't any problems. They went through all his paperwork, took his fingerprints., and took his passport. They told him that once they are done, he can pick it up or have it Fedexed to him (he lives in Jeddah).

They have not finished with the visa yet. We emailed them 2 weeks after his interview, to ask how long it might be. They emailed back and said they are still doing an "administrative review" of our case, and to give it 2-3 more weeks and email them again if we don't hear anything. I am wondering if anyone who went to the Riyadh consulate has any advice or personal experiences to share, on how long it might take for them to finally send out the visa?

Thank you all in advance,
KEKhan

If you are in administrative review (AR) it could take a few weeks to several months. Read up on AR, some VJers have had success by involving their senators if their approval did not come within a few weeks. Nothing to worry about for now though. Sounds like the interview went well and it was not a denial.
