I have a question, my fiance's interview is on Marc 5th, is it mandatory that I assist? Right now I am unable to assist because of work. I already took my vacation in November and I can't take another so soon. But I sent him all the required documents.
Will it affect his approval if I am not there?
Please some help!!!

Many beneficiaries go to the interview alone with no problems. In some cases the USC is not even allowed to be with the beneficiary for the interview. It is not a requirement for the USC to be there for the interview, the interview is for the beneficiary.

At my K-1 interview, my fiance was the only fiance there. All the others were there alone, and we all got approved.
It is not required, if your fiance has all the papers in order everything will be fine. The consulate is very picky here just ask to your SO bring all the papers and try do not get the nervous that day.
Good Luck

For Dominican Republic they do require the USC to be present at the interview, if the USC is not present the visa will be denied.
