it could take anywhere from 8mths to 1yr..might as well get on it now...

Thats sounds about right Kimmy. 8 months is really good and 1 year is longer than normal so anywhere in between there should be a good guess.

Thanks Kimmy for the info......I really appreciate it

Things certainly have changed, i was told that once your spouce is a US citizen then it takes 3-6 months but i guess not. The waiting i tell you seem like an eternity

Have a good day,

How I wish it only took 3-6 months. When I started this journey, I was told about 6 months too but as you can see, my wife and I have been going at it for 10 months and it looks like it will be another two months at least till she gets her visa.

Good luck!!

Have you started? You could be 3 months in.

Hi Boiler....we have indeed started the process.

We paid for our visa fee (US400 on March 8th)
Now in the process of filling out AOS

So tell me your thoughts of how far in are we

Cheers,
Kishmar

The 3-6 months timeline is for DCF filers (Direct Consular Filing). If you file at a Service Center in the U.S. the timeline doubles.
