My Fiancee and I have been discussing her plane ticket over here and I just want to make sure of a few things. First she does not need a round trip ticket like for other visas correct/ And also, if we do get her a round trip ticket (sometimes they are cheaper then one-way) will it cause a problme if she doesn't use the return leg of the ticket? Also, anyone have any good websites they used to purchase their ticket originating in a forgien country?

She does not need a round trip ticket, and if you do purchase a round-trip ticket, she must travel on the first leg.

You can buy the cheapest fare you can find, whether it's round trip or one-way. Immigration doesn't care if she uses her return ticket or neither do the airlines.

I bought my husband's ticket on Travelocity but you can use any other web site you want. Many people like kayak.com.

Look for the best price. If you can get a round trip for cheaper than a one way go for it. Good luck good.gif

My husband came on a round trip and just didn't use the second leg because the round trip was cheaper. Immigration doesn't care.

My husband also flew in on a round trip ticket because it was cheaper.

A couple sites you can try:

www.sidestep.com
farechase.yahoo.com

These 2 tend to search multiple sites at one time.

Of course there is also expedia.com, orbitz.com, etc... Some of these have foreign sites. I know there is a travelocity.co.uk so something you may also want to try.

Good luck!

I am positive about this. The reason is because when you don't show up for the first leg of the flight they cancel the entire ticket.

Try to find a company in the country of departure to buy the ticket from.

IATA regulations only allow you to be sold a ticket at "published" prices if you are not buying it in the country of departure.

Consolidator tickets, or unpublished fares as they are called, will be cheaper and can only be purchased in the country of departure.
