K3 petition for my wife is alerady been processed by the overseas consulate and our I-130 was just approved yesterday. We are expecting interview date sometime in June for the K3 visa. Is it better to send her back to the native country for her CRL processing or we should file AOS after she comes to US. Any input would greatly be appreciated. I want to find out all the pros and cons of both approaches before making the decision.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Depending on processing times in your area, CR1 could be a lot faster than AOS. Especially as it is already approved. The costs are the same, the main difference is simply that for CR1 she will travel back to her country for the interview.

It a personal choice. Do you want to spend the time and money to return for the interview or not?
I chose to do this and so have many others. But then again, many many ppl don't do it and just do AOS.

Thanks for your response. I am also leaning towards CR1 as the time it takes for AOS to be processed can be very lengthy. I am not worried too much about her flying back for the interview.

Thanks again for your reponse.
