Well, Alex & I were originally going to file in September/October and I had sent all of the necessary documents and photos to him by the end of September, but he kept hesitating and then he didn't have the money (I sent him some) and then he was worried he'd not filled in the forums correctly. Each time was a different problem. I was pretty hurt initially because although he kept saying 'I want you here soon!' he wasn't exactly doing anything about it. Fortunately it's all worked out for the best and I don't think we could've afforded to be moving so soon, but it was very frustrating for me.




I'm still cheering you on! I hope you receive that NoA2 soon!

Everything was fine at the POE. He had to wait a bit, but everyone was very cool!


Oh they did leave some of his luggage in Atlanta, but they put it on the next plane to Nashville, and they just delivered it!

I felt bad because we live out in the middle of nowhere and the poor delivery guy got lost...

Time to unpack........

GOOD SUCCESS for everybody having interview this week!

If Paul's interview is on the 6th and hes planing on booking tickets for the 16th. When would be the best time to book? Do you think it would be save to whenever or wait until he has the visa :S Does it usually only take a few days TOPS to get visa after interview? Don't wanna wait too long to book cause summer gets expensive. What do you guys think?

Damian's interview was friday and his visa is due to be delivered tomorrow.

I find that buying tickets exactly 2 weeks before can be quite cheap. but thats a risky thing to do. we waited until he was approved to buy his ticket. but we decided not to wait for his visa in hand.

-130 APPROVED on 5/1/08!!! Haven't gotten a letter yet, but it's supposedly in the mail ... No approval on the I-129F yet, though ... I'm wondering how long I should wait on that before deciding that I'm going with the I-130 alone ...

The way I see it, the goal of permanent residence is now well on its way - but I can still save some time in terms of getting my wife HERE if I go with the K3 because the processing time at the NVC is significantly shorter ... anyone know what the time difference is at the NVC between an I-130 alone vs the K3 "combo"???

As much as we wanted to buy Stephen's ticket so he can fly back with me when I leave Germany at the end of May, we are waiting until he has the actual visa in hand. Don't want to risk having to pay additional fees to change the flight.

but waiting until visa in hand I think the prices of the tickets will go up by then, mid june :S I think we are going to risk it! ahh!

I know, it's the same thing for us, the price has already gone up in the past week. It was just a risk we didn't want to take ... to each their own, right?

Afraid of that...we can't afford too much of an increase!!!
