Approved... but still I'm depressed as ever.
Now it'll take another 3-4 months minimum before he gets his visa.
During the added 38 days it took to get our NOA2, the wait time at the embassy has gone up 50% to 60 days.
And now there is the whole "mailroom contractor" delay to deal with!!! That is, the service centers have changed the contracators in charge of the mailrooms. So now incoming and outgoing mail is sitting for about a month before it gets processed in or out. Seriously, they are saying it is taking four weeks for approved petitions to get to the NVC right now. Well, that explains why our RFE package took a month to get from the mailroom to our adjudicator's desk, doesn't it? Seriously, how hard is it to push a f***ing mailcart??!!

didn't know they were having problems at VSC too.. knew CSC were very slow getting to NVC... theres no patterns at all with this process... very annoying I'm so OCD don't like unpredictable things... best of luck!

karen, i've heard nothing about the mail center at VSC... just CSC. I know this is frustrating for you but try to stay strong... you're almost there!

Mine only took a couple of days to get to and then through NVC. I think maybe other types of petitions take a while but the K1 should go right through. Unless there is a very rare circumstance. Did your "touch date" change to today? That most likely means it's being sent down the mail room. Then it should only be a few days from there. Hang in there.

I agree with kim, the USCIS t0 NVC blackhole sadly applies to CSC but not with VSC... your papers should be with NVC within a few days.

Damian is also stressing about the interview. I keep telling him that it seems pretty straight forward from the reviews I've read. He's a ball of nerves at the minute. Today he brought up plan B if all goes wrong. so he's really thinking hard about this. We're pretty much counting down to May 3rd and for all this to be over with!

Dawn, after the interview there would be the stress of travel arrangements and then wedding and then AOS... but after that well, that will be 2 years of being free from USCIS... that will probably be when "relative normalcy" will take effect.
Good luck on all those who will be having interview this week... and may this week be a week of approvals for the remaining January VSC filers.

dawn thats how I am too I keep telling him like once he gets his visa I want him on the next plane here but he has to pay off things still as well, I hate waiting! lol Hope everyone has good luck this week with approvals and such

I understand, maybe its a brit thing lol, I said to Jay that Im not booking my ticket and the shipping till i have my visa in hand. lol.
it might be a brit thing. because Damian wanted to wait awhile before coming too. I said a week after his interview and he said 1.5 to 2 months so I talked him down to 3 weeks. hes already gotten rid of most things and is living with his parents. after the interview will be just him going to visit his whole family one last time before he has to leave and save up some funds to cover him for a bit.
I could understand the impatience in being with your SO... I would also want to be on the next available plane to Ricky's arms right after interview but then there are still things to arrange here and also budget to consider... so we will still be counting another two months after interview to be together... Hopefully, some of the January CSC filers are also done with interview and on their way to their SO's by then.

Yes I understand that, I am booking my flight once i get my visa, I then have a house to empty, sort out what to ship and what to sell, it all seems sureal. Jay and I have been in our relationship 7 years and it feels strange that we are finally getting together. (I hope anyway, lol)

Can anybody teach me how to print Skype and YM call logs? we don't spend too much time talking on mobile phone or regular phone becoz it is expensive but we do spend ample time talking on skype and yahoo... i have printed all the chat logs but I can't seem to print the call logs

Sure... I did the exact same thing... Just open skype and the call log bit and scroll it so the dates u want showing are up. then hit the print screen button (top right side of your keyboard) then go into paint and hit paste (ctrl v) and then you can edit from there and cut just the skype box out and print it right from paint. I don't believe theres a way to do it right from skype or maybe I just didn't figure it out.
we use skype so much! we ended up sending 5 pages of skype logs just to prove we were together at the times we said because there were no calls at those times we were together. and its quite obvious just by looking at the logs.

I checked Yahoo and Skype, not seeing how you can print them ( isn't it great to have such programs! ) Best idea I could think of is to screenshot and print?

I know. thankfully we have set small goals to concentrate on.. ie.. his medical, getting additional documents... my boys have to leave for the summer soon and i'll edits coming up again LOL

Our only stress is the police certificate...we have the old one (and it even says on the UK Embassy website that it should be okay)...we're taking Jeraly's advice to do a screen shot of it at the interview to show them if they give us a hard time about it...
I'm starting to get nervous now. We have a co-sponsor.. anyone know how important the co-sponsor's birth certificate is? I'm trying to get it but am having a bit of trouble. I have so much proof of relationship but just keep wanting to add more the longer I wait!!
