Well.... another touch today.

I feel like our case is the most popular girl at the dance, but no one will take her home.

Well, at least we know it's being worked on. They only supposedly take 15 minutes to work on each case... are they doing it in 'one minute each day' incrememnts??

psiprez: you're time is coming, it can't mean another thing, it's definitely NOA2 on its way...

liam&sam: i was also touched several times on the early part of the process and then it stopped on feb. 24 and there was just nothing til our approval 3 weeks after. It can't be very long now for you too. Just stay strong and keep the faith. rose.gif

Well, ladies and gentlemen...I am off to bed...

I won't be on for a little while...I'm flying out tomorrow afternoon to see Darren and meet the future in-laws...I will miss everyone while I'm gone, but I hope that everybody has their NOA2 by the time I get back...YOU HEAR ME, VSC?!?! I SAID EVERYONE!!!

Another week gone by with no approval for us.

It's like they know I need him here by the end of June (for summer childcare - it's too late to make other arrangements now) and are purposely delaying it.

It's a february filer who received NOA1 on march... but I think by next week, we will really be seeing true blooded march approvals while there are still people from way back June who are still waiting sad.gif

I can't say I completely know how your feeling now, I can only empathize but I will never know it as intimately as you and others who have to endure the wait far longer than others but pls know that my heart goes out to you. I can only offer words but I can never make that NOA2 materialize, if only I could. sad.gif

But I hope that you will continue to hold on and keep hoping that it will come soon because it will really come in God's perfect time. We may not understand it but He is never too late nor too early, His time is always perfect. It will come, when you least expect it, it will come.

As Rachel said "VSC has been slacking". I will continue to hold you and the others in my prayers, and we will hope that this week will be a better week for everybody still waiting.

So this morning I woke up and checked my status and no change - I get to work and decide, what the heck I'll feed the urge and check again. I burst into tears when I saw this:

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On March 30, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I can't even describe how shocked I am. I for sure thought we'd be waiting longer.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS!!!! I do hope this is a sign that VSC will start cranking them out again this week and no one will be left waiting.

The waiting list keeps staying at 21 because there is additional member: Anne and Drew... last time it was Casper & Nichole. Welcome guys! rose.gif I hope you could really drop by any of the 3 january threads and introduce yourselves good.gif

I removed the number of waiting period on the list because it doesn't matter now who gets it fastest, what matter is that we all get it sooner or later.

Around half of the members still waiting haven't visited VJ in well over a month. (Going by the 'last visited' date on their profile). Hopefully many of those members have been approved but simply haven't updated their timeline.

Just try calling NVC in a couple of days, say after 3 days.

Call them at (603) 334-0700, 1, then 5. They will ask for info on the petitioner and benefiary, such as the beneficiary's name and date of birth, and your case number. You cannot use the automated system to check K-1 Visas as they do not load these into their automated system. You must speak with a customer service representative.

As Gaye stated, just called the NVC - basically, my file was touched the day after approval (from USCIS site), I assumed that was the day it left for NVC, because never updated on the USCIS site again. I was going to call 2 days later, but I figured they had probably just received it (and that was Good Friday) so I waited and called on Monday and gave the USCIS case number and answered the other questions (beneficiary name and DOB) and the man informed me it had arrived on Friday and couldn't tell me anything else, he suggested calling back in a week. I called back on Tuesday, and a woman informed me it was leaving the NVC that day. I'd say give it two days, and then call. Then using the posts here about DHL, we were able to track our package (it was the only one going to Frankfurt all last week!)

And then the unfortunate part, we had hoped packet 3 would come while I was still visiting, so we could do the forms together. We left to catch the train to Cologne on Saturday around noon. My flight was yesterday morning. Anyhow, when he got back home, he had Packet 3 waiting for him ... so now I'm busy scrambling to get things filled out on my end that I need to send him. If only had been one day sooner!! wacko.gif

Anyhow, calling the NVC is a breeze, but do it either early in the morning or late at night East Coast time ... otherwise it will loop you through the automated system once and then pass you back, and tell you all representatives are busy and then hang up on you smile.gif

It all starts moving a lot faster now .... so happy for you!!!

Thanks for all the replies on what to do next!!! Knowing that in a week our case could potentially be flying over the ocean to its final destination is comforting. Things do indeed speed up from this point forward.

I know it's a bit far fetched but we would love love to go to Sydney together for the interview when I'm down there in May. I'm not relying on it, but it would definitely be a nice way to end the process. smile.gif

That actually doesn't seem too far-fetched!

From what I read on the embassy website, it takes about a month from NVC receiving the package to the interview date. I'd just make sure all the preliminary stuff is done, like police certificate, etc...and that you are ready to have packet 3 mailed back very quickly!

I havent recieved packet 3 yet, but at the moment im not worried as I dont want it all to happen to quickly.
