I only have 19days left here in my hometown before the kids and I fly off to Manila for my CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) seminar, then off to NC, USA by Sept 4.. Mix emotions is increasing as days go by.

Oh, my dress will be finished next week, I'm getting excited to see the finished product.

We just got back from Stephen's biometric appointment ... 1 hour of waiting (in separate rooms since the appointment was for him) then 5 minutes to take 10 individual fingerprints, 2 more with all four fingers from each hand together, and a few photographs. And filling out a 1 page demographic sheet. And then the last comment they make to you ... if you don't get your greencard in the next 13 months, you'll be sent another letter to come back to repeat the biometrics!!!! Oi!

I had my dress fitting last weekend, it will be ready in another week. Getting ready to order my veil and garter .... about 5 weeks to go for the family wedding.

I forgot who was the petitioner and who was the beneficiary between you and Keith, neiwez, the petitioner needs to call NVC to ask if they receive your case, ask for the new case number and also ask when it will be sent to embassy. Call them at (603) 334-0700, 1, then 5. They will ask for info on the petitioner and benefiary, such as the beneficiary's name and date of birth, and your case number (VSC case number). You cannot use the automated system to check K-1 Visas as they do not load these into their automated system. You must speak with a customer service representative. They said the best time to call is 7:31 AM Eastern Standard Time.

Lynda, you can also call DOS .....They can give your new case number, tell you if and when it left NVC and arrived at the Embassy. If you get that date then you can truly track it. ..they can also tell you if a package 3 was sent out and even if there's an interview scheduled. (202) 663-1225 Press 1, then Press 0.

To track your petition to the Embassy using DHL you can use these instructions...

For those of you curious go to http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef Select 'track by reference' and enter EXP 15 AUG 2008A (or a day or two after you were approved) then underneath put the date range for either the day you know it left NVC or a couple days on either side. You will then see a list come up listing all packages that left NVC. Look for your Country and click on the reference number to get details. This could or could not be your petition but it will give you a clear indicator of the process to get there.

Got my wedding dress last Friday and got the MH and junior bridesmaid's dress today but I am a little disappointed with the MH dress, it was not what I instructed .. it is supposed to be bias cut, the seamstress didn't follow through.

What I had in mind was not exactly followed but i still love it, I just need to add some more swarovski crystals on it and also turn the one strap into full swarovski crystals as well.. will be buying the crystals here and will be sewing it on the dress a day or a week before the wedding.

That is a gorgeous dress! I love the fabric, and the colours! The cut is very similar to mine, too, so I'm biased there.

Sorry to hear that the MH dress is a bit of a disappointment. Hopefully that is the worst you'll have to deal with and the rest of your wedding will be perfect!

I certainly hope so.. i'm getting stressed out about everything already.. if the MH dress won't fit Ashley (Ricky's daughter), we will need to buy another dress for her there.

But before the wedding... i have to deal with the stress of moving first, as of now, I am not yet done with the packing.. well, i still have 7 days left.

We never got an email from CRIS and the status hasn't changed on the USCIS page... now we are patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for the EAD!

thats a very pretty dress I have been busy with work and such , remember when i told you how paul got really sick? well he got Lyme disease :S He got medicine for it though and is feeling better we went for the biometrics this past friday and spent the day in boston for some reason though we cant track our case online like we did it the k1. I hope i'm worrying for nothing but i dunnnoooo so many other people have it tracked and we still don't so what is everyone up to? i'm going back to college next week. Paul is going crazy because he can't work hes bored while i'm at work and doesn't have much to do here. But we are stillllllllllll very happy that hes here and no more leaving to go back to england wooooo

You would think it would be routine to get a vaccination worksheet signed by the K1 medical doctor to submit with the I693 but obviously it's not. Russell had his medical last week and made sure he got one... I guess there are some benefits to having had to wait so long to get to this point!

Russell had his medical a week ago, the Embassy has our complete packet 3 and he has all he needs from me. We're just waiting on an interview date (which we will then expedite ). But, once again, the US has us waiting as our petition has yet to leave the NVC... a week and a half later! We're hoping they'll give us the date without it. We shall see. Either way.. we're almost there!

Hello all Hope everyone is well ...

Gaye - hope your flight to the US was good, and that you are now safely at home in NC with Ricky!!!! Although just in time for Tropical Storm Hannah!!

I randomly went and checked our case status online, and Stephen's EAD/Work Authorization and AP/Travel Document were approved this morning!!!!

No update on the AOS though ... and it hasn't transferred to CSC either .... oh well!!!

arrived in NC safe last thursday eve.., the people here has been very warm.. everything is great except for my daughter getting sick on our first day and also the adjustment on the time zone... i feel sleepy at daytime here which is nightime in the philippines and me and the kids are just finding it hard to fall asleep at night time which is daytime in the philippines...we also get hungry in the middle of the night LOL.

it is my son's 9th birthday today and rick's mom and relatives has prepared a bday party for him... hope the coming hurricane will not affect the celebration, there are 2 hurricanes coming our way:(....

all in all, everything has been great so far.........except for the crying at davao airport before we left.

i'm loving NC.. well, except for the hurricane which seemed to have welcomed us

Darren is getting despondent about the job situation here...no one is hiring. We've had a few leads, but when you go to interview, about 50 people show up for 1 job...

Im pretty dissapointed, I tried to get my Alabama Learners Permit yesterday and they said that the visa has to have 6 months left on it. so before I can get the permit I have to adjust my status, so thats gonna delay how long it will take to drive. I guess it varies from state to state, grrr. lol.

It certainly does...FL won't even let Darren get a learners permit since he is over 18...He's nervous about the written test, but not the road test...
