if they gave her the x-ray film, then a vaccination sheet (2 pages i guess) and they told her that her passport will be forwarded to the US embassy then she's all good good.gif

If she has her x-ray film and immunizations on the second day...

i guess if they don't say anything to her about having to go back for further tests. i had to be sure i passed so i just went on and asked if i'm fine and the staff told me i was....

If they gave you the CXR films and the vaccination records on the second day, usually that means you passed the medical but this is also not a guarantee. SLEC cannot and don't usually divulge results of the medical exams (confidentiality clause). Panel Physicians can write "remarks" on the medical results (if there's something wrong with the patient: like Psychological, Drugs, and other related conditions that can bar patients/applicants from entering the U.S.) and it is up to the CO (during the interview) to grant or deny visa to the applicant.

This happens: Applicant given their CXR films and vaccination records only to find out from the CO that the application was denied, most cases are due to "drug" problems.

If your score is above 72%, then you passed.... hehehehe...

After reading the replies here it sounds like the medical exam is a two day event, with the immunizations occuring on the second day. Can anyone tell me what the second day schedule is like? How long does it take on the second day? We didn't realize the medical exam was a two day event and actuall scheduled our return travel on the next day after our scheduled medical exam day. I guess we will need to extend our stay in Manila for another day??? Thanks for everybody's valuable help!!! biggrin.gif

my med exam took only a day so i was lucky... but it seldom happened (mom and i stayed 3 days in manila for it) so always expect to have a 2 day sked for your med exam... usually on the second day, its the releasing of your x-ray film and vac. sheet knowing if everything goes well...

Yes it is 2 days. That is why I stayed at Bayview Hotel for 3 nights and its 5 blocks away from SLEC. Soriente Hotel is just beside the SLEC. Usually, on the second day you will have to bring your passport, appointment letter given on the 1st day, 2x2 pictures 2pcs,black ballpen, a jacket coz its sooo cold in the 2nd floor yes.gif and a book coz its a long wait. Show the passport and the SLEC appointment with the receipt to the guard and the guard will stamped it with either WINDOW A or Immunization area-2nd floor. Mine, i have to go to Window A coz the doctor wants me to submit a medical certificate stating that i was given a medication on my BP readings which is 140/100 so high for my age.Once i submitted it, they let me proceed to immunization area. Some were already done with the immunization interview on the first day, but mine was given on the 2nd day followed by giving of the vaccines. After 2nd floor, was directed to 1st floor for the releasing of Xray film and the vaccination sheet 2 pages. They ask questions from what you wrote on your PDS and just making sure that you are consistent with your given information. Thats it.

Remember: Be courteous and wear a smile .... it seems they don't ask too many questions if they see you like that. GOODLUCK
