As for Hawaii, I would love to have a boat there as well but you can't go much places besides around the islands itself hehe (mainland is way too far haha).. I think I might get a jetski there, that's something pretty cool too hehe.

Sadly it is hardly sunny enough... When I went there last year in August, it was quite cold. At that time, my brother had surf classes and at the end of the class his fingers were almost blue. I hope this will be better this year! I actually never went north, well, not higher than Paris anyway.
I would have liked to travel in Europe before I leave, but I never took the time to plan anything and I'm happy I saved my money. There are so many wonderful countrysides in Europe that I have never seen! But I am sure there will be many different countrysides in the USA too, just different ones

Cecile I'm in Missouri and we don't have the ocean but we do have lots of lakes with beaches that you might enjoy You should definitely check out southern Missouri in the ozarks sometime.... Very beautiful there and lots of beach/lakes in that area and only a few hours from where you'll be. Its a nice inexpensive get away.

Ok OK OKKKK nope no NOA2 yet BUT my impatience got the better of me and I tried the little "Shake your NOA2 loose" thing posted here haha...

Got a super nice lady who was checking into my case etc...and then we got disconnected!!!! Well called back did same thing and luckily got her AGAIN! Well we laughed a bit and then I expressed my concerns etc..told her of the email stating about security checks etc...well she said that is something they send out to people all worried that are still within their first 180 days!!!! Soooo anyway we talked a bit more and I mentioned how I knew people that were approved already that filed in February...well her answer to that was just as I suspected that the cases get divided up and basically some are faster workers than others!!!!!!! ARGHHHH. So I said "Well I think I got the one on vacation then and anyway I can be moved to a faster persons desk" She started cracking up at that one so here's hoping she does something for me! SIGH

So yeah I officially hit my 180 days next week so we shall see what happens....she said most likely I will see approval within 60 days ughh hopefully before that but shoot that is better than another 180 days plus like we were starting to think!!!

Heck yeah it does bring some relief for sure! Let's just hope my person truly isn't on some long extended vacation and it is actually processed SOON. She said that the good news is that we are being processed already as it has been looked at and sent in for the usual security checks etc...so fingers crossed they get that back ASAP and then the adjuicator gets to work!

Haha yeah, when you think about it, the world is small and yet oh so big.. oh well, I like to travel so I'm sure I will be seeing some more of Europe later on

Update:

I called NVC on monday & they didn't receive our petition yet...she told me to wait until today, so I thought "yeah right, lets see you give me same answer again..."...I called today & they received AND already sent it off! Now it feels like we have to act quick, about when the embassy receives it, so I can inform them of his new mailing address! Ahhh! Probably by the time I call them...they will probably already have sent the packet 3. blah.

P.S. It's starting to feel surreal. As if this progress is going to fly right by & I am going to be running around like a beheaded chicken.

hubby called USCIS today and he able to talk to a nice lady that said "u should get a notice in about 2 weeks
if not she said call back". now i feel better, atleast i know whats going on and what we need to expect. also we follow some tips on calling, i forgot who posted it. i just hope they dont noticed it that we here are having same fomat of calling. lol for me this is a good news though when i check my case online we didnt get update yet. ok guys, call them now. and GOOD LUCK.

Well...looks like this week will be a quiet week, with what Cecile being away now too! I hope she is having a lovely time with her family and old friends!

Alex has moved into his new apartment so he does not have the internet yet.

I had a lovely weekend - met lots of new people and yesterday the weather was good enough to go for a walk around a reservoir (we didn't even wear our coats! *gasp*). I'll be moving out this week myself. Have to ask my boss about boxes today so I can pack tonight.

I honestly do not know how I am going to make it through another 60 days before hearing anything! God please let them be wrong about that and have us hear something MUCH sooner!!!!

As for my own update, I just got back from Amsterdam where I had my medical and x-ray this morning.. all went pretty smooth and if my x-ray and blood come back ok (which I almost know for sure it will be good thanks to the previous tests) then I have passed this part.. I will know this 100% for sure if they do not call me this week tho (the only bad side on this is the contents of my wallet, the total was 245 Euro for me )... soo.. next stop: interview on August 12th

I'm having a lovely time, except that I caught a cold so my throat is sore and I have a headache. And today is a very busy day on the roads, so it's better to stay at home.

The cost were as follows:

155 Euro for the medical exam
40 Euro for the MMR vaccin
50 Euro for the X-Ray


Usually people over here also need to get a booster DTP shot but I already had mine in 2006 when I went to China, I guess it would've been more in that case.

I guess the prices are different in each country since doctors probably ask different amounts of money for it.. hmm, saying that makes me kinda wondering what others have to pay for it. So tell me, what's your damage? xD

Everybody wants the NOA2 processed in order, especially us, the ones from VJ (who see timelines from everybody),and seeing people filling after you, and approved before makes things harder!
I remenber at first, seeing people from VSC who filled after me, and who got approved way before me... I was angry at first, but I try to be happy for the other ones. I thought being angry would make things harder only for me.
Well, now I am closer from my interview, it is easy for me to say that... even with what I just said, I completly understand you! I know that feeling, and so are others ones!
Keep being hopeful, go out, and when you will not think about it, the good news will come to you!

You're better than me, going for a run! I was supposed to lose weight before my wedding...instead I've been stressing out and then comfort eating chocolate, d'oh!

I'm staying at a friend's for six weeks, then I'll move in with my parents and stay with them for a month or two.

I am so relieved! Packet 4 arrived today. My interview is the 14th August. I also spoke to my housemate; she was a little upset earlier but now things have been all sorted out and she has said she won't charge me rent for August (once I have moved out) even though I didn't give her a full month's notice of my leaving. So I'll hopefully have more money.

Had a lovely evening; watched a film with my girly friends and ate delicious chilli tortillas.

Yay Rachel!! I am already sending happy thoughts to you for the 14th!

As for us, Greivin is here and we are loving life together. We flew in last Saturday and all went well at the airport. He has been here over a week now and is getting settled quite nicely. We couldn't get the EAD so for the time being, he will be doing random jobs around the house and other things for friends and family to help bring in some extra money. We will make it though, at least now we are together, and more than anything, I am just thankful for that.

Just drink a lot of water, and try to exercise for at least 25 minutes everyday. Just.. put on some music and.. dance. It's fun, it's easy and, best of all, it's free. Or.. An hour of walking is pleasant, and doesn't feel high impact like, say, cardio at the gym or something [And walking is free! ..I'm cheap, I guess]. 10 pounds in 2 months can be done - I've faith in you.

No comfort eating chocolate here, but a few months ago I started exercising and I had abs!!! Even Bryan could see them through the webcam (well, that's what he said, I'm not sure I believe him ) Then I stopped working out, it's so hard to stay motivated, and now the abs disappeared and my belly is flabby... and I can't start exercising again because I'm sick now! looks like we all have similar problems

What's up everyone? It's been a little while since I last dropped in. I've been moving this past week, beginning to get our new place in order before Valerie comes down. So I called NVC on Friday (7/11) and asked them if they had received our file yet, because I hadn't heard anything yet. They said that they had received it on Tuesday (7/8) and sent it out to Vancouver on Wednesday!! I coudn't believe it! Things are really moving fast now. Such a change of pace, and we couldn't be happier. I think typically it takes 2-3 business days to get there, so hopefully Vancouver will send it out sometime this week! That would be great. The sooner the better. We have our wedding planned and booked for October 3. Still 2 1/2 months out, but it'll feel a lot better once that visa is in hand! Any idea on how long it takes for an interview date after returning packet 3?

Sunny, hang in there! Whenever I log onto VJ, your timeline is the first thing I look at. You started this whole process the same time as Valerie and I, and you were so supportive when we were just waiting and waiting! I'm sure it'll be very soon.

When I received P3, I was also 2 months and half away from my wedding date (sept 7th), and I had an interview date scheduled a month after I send back P3.
