Hello Sunnybear

Yes I am very happy, now I am waiting for him to give me more details (yesterday he was busy unpacking and then his parents came, so I didn't get many emails) and to send me photos! I already know what it is going to look like since one of his friends live in the same apartment complex, and I went there 2 years ago, but I want to have photos of OUR place

I'm still crossing my fingers for you, everyday I look at Igor's list to see if you and Gareth are on it (and I'm sure you will be very soon)

The computer guy here delights in acusing everyone of looking up the "questionable" sites! He hasn't gotten around to me .... Yet......

I've never gone to any on purpose...however I once google imaged "Mariah Carey"...bad, bad idea if you're at work. We have a tradition in my department of decorating our co-workers desk for their birthday and we go all out. Balloons, streams to the ceilings, confetti EVERYWHERE (I'm still finding confetti from my birthday two years ago hidden in my files). However...we usually choose something that the person hates or something to make fun of them. This particular coworker HATES Mariah Carey...so of course we decorated his entire desk with pictures of her. However...not very many pictures of Mariah Carey are......appropriate.

This same coworker was telling me about a book he had seen at a bookstore (Something about a seven language dictionary for gays and lesbians to help them pick people up...who knew?) and had learned the German word for orgy (gruppensex...if you're curious...as Dennis said "Gotta love German...if you don't know the word for something, just describe it and that's probably the word.")...well....my coworker wanted to verify the spelling for me and he googled it...but had forgotten he was on Googleimages. Oops

Hmm... I'm glad I have no probs with that.. I work as a webdeveloper/SEO analyst at an internet marketing company so basically sometimes I actually HAVE to visit sites like that :S

On a different note... I just checked the DHL website and noticed a package has been send to the Amsterdam consulate and I think it might contain the petition and stuff soooo I just asked my SO to call NVC and check it out hehe

They really seem to be on top of it so could be! Ours was there for like half a day... They send out a letter too that says its been mailed to the consulate but I got that a few days after... Which I already knew because I called them already... Lol

lol yeah, thats basically why I think it might be our petition as it seems they're quite fast over there and since it is the only package to Amsterdam since a while, I think it is our package

but... lol, I think we forgot the time difference... my SO can't get through at the moment and its about time for the NVC to close for the day.. guess she has to try tomorrow again... oh well, since I'm pretty sure it was our petition, I'm gonna fill in the timeline anyways hehhee

(can always change it back when I was wrong lol)

btw, its funny, it seems the ones send out today (June 17) have the June 16 description at DHL lol... I wonder what NVC will say, if it was send out yesterday or actually today

Oh well, I added it to my timeline already.. now I hope I was right haha.. and if not, I can change it again tmr xD

Alex's dad has the letter from his bank and will be getting it notarised this week. Police certificate cheque was cashed, so they received my application; I hope to receive that this week. On Friday I'll go and collect my vaccinations report from the doctors'. Should finally be ready by the end of this month.

Aww good job Rachel! I already have sent all to Gareth that he needs except my sisters co-sponser papers which she should be giving me this week or next and then will send updated paystubs and actual tax transcripts once we have our actual approval! Gareth has his police check already there but has toget the updated one now just to be safe and then of course vaccines.....but yeah we are ready for NOA2 so they need to hurry up gosh dang it!!!

Jeroen and Michelle you are too funny filling out timeline but I would do the same! So exciting!!!

Hi all-

Thanks to all who welcomed me, and I've been interested to read about all of your visa process stories. We're still waiting for Packet 3, and even though I know London got it by now, I was curious about the DHL site. However, I tried everything and couldn't make it work. I don't know why, but it always just said that no packages could be found. Ah well.

I found it funny that some of you tried to manage the form-filling-out for your fiances. I actually tuned out when my fiance went line-by-line over the packet 3 forms...he has been so pedantic through this process (thank goodness!) that he did a great job. And today, he got his police certificate - after only sending it in on Saturday morning! So we're excited that things are rolling along, and as soon as packet 3 shows up he'll turn it right around.

Hope everyone is keeping the faith with this process. Thanks for posting, as it helps me get through it too.

Same here.. All I have to do is receive package #3 and send it right back again (well, that is when I receive the I134's, which should be soon). The police certificate will be requested by the consulate as we don't get them ourselves in the Netherlands, I will get my shots next monday, the birth certificates and all other requested documents are all waiting already ^^

@sunnybear: lol, it's all because of excitement indeed

@Cheryl: I checked your timeline and since your package has left NVC at June 9th, the date in the description should say EXP 06 JUN 2008A.. Sounds funny maybe but I found out that the EXP date is a day before the actual shipment takes place, unless there is a weekend in between (like in your case), then it should be the friday before the weekend. I checked on this date and it seems there was indeed a package on its way to London

i m stil wating for NOA2 and feel very depressed

i don't understand what take them so long...
do you think that the fact that I studied in China for a year is a problem???and the fact that i got my 6months tourist visa for the US in Beijing???

well well..i havent lived overseas BUT i applied a visa once as a tourist in the u.s. and was denied (ggeez..) then almost got a student u.s. visa but decide not to pursue anymore (i didnt file the related papers for the student visa and never called USEM for an interview)

lol peepz.. my SO called NVC again today and they told her the petition has been sent to Amsterdam 2 days ago instead of yesterday lol..

I guess it makes sense in a way, though. The reference says EXP 16 JUN 2008A so that would indeed be 2 days ago, but the actual pickup date of that one (which is the one I found on the DHL site) was the 17th and since there was no other one around it had to be that one meaning that, I think, the date the NVC tells you is actually one day before the actual pickup date.

Oh well, I just leave the date on the 17th as it is the pickup date

I tracked the package and it went from Portsmouth, NH to Portland, ME and from there to Wilmington, OH from where it went to East Midlands in the UK, where it is at the moment (quite some travelling lol)... I think it will arrive in the Netherlands tomorrow

and then, hopefully, real soon I find the information package in my mailbox

So I have a question did you put you have been a US citizen the whole time then? I did. Also did you put you had been a resident of US the whole time? I also did since the only reason I lived overseas was with military spouse and we were always told no matter what we were still Michigan residents no matter where we lived on military orders.....really hoping if this is the hold up it won't take toomuch longer!!!

Well USCIS did an update they supposedly up to Dec 8,2007 applicants now according to their site hmmpppfff.....so Gareth and I are now up to number 20 on the list....too bad didn't even wanna make it that high! I am so scared we are gonna be one of the ones bumped off the list due to be waiting even longer than what USCIS says

Trying to keep the faith here though and hope and pray we get approval this month!!!!

Yay! He said definitely not cancerous...apparently it's a growth of lymph tissue and it's somehow related to my allergies. He also gave me some new allergy medicine and very detailed instructions on how to make it work properly.

hi all!

i have a question for you guys!
i m stil wating for NOA2 and feel very depressed

i don't understand what take them so long...
do you think that the fact that I studied in China for a year is a problem???and the fact that i got my 6months tourist visa for the US in Beijing???

I have no idea but could be! I am currently stuck in security so they say and I filed week before you. I lived overseas due to the fact I was married to a guy in the air force but am now divorced.....so maybe they have to wait for security checks to come back from each place we lived? No idea.....Good luck and hope we both get NOA2 SOON!!!

Same for me too - I lived overseas for 3 yrs (but I was a kid) so that's 3 of us who haven't gotten our NOA2 yet and maybe it's related to that...

So I have a question did you put you have been a US citizen the whole time then? I did. Also did you put you had been a resident of US the whole time? I also did since the only reason I lived overseas was with military spouse and we were always told no matter what we were still Michigan residents no matter where we lived on military orders.....really hoping if this is the hold up it won't take toomuch longer!!!

Well, I am a naturalized citizen, so I put that. And for the part about living outside of the US for more than 1 yr, I put the overseas address. I'm thinking maybe another reason why mine is taking awhile is because my guy's last name is common. It's a little frustrating at times, but there isn't anything we can do until it's past the 6 month mark... and even then, contacting a representative won't always do any good... but we'll all be fine! We talk about how we'll handle it if they end up taking forever or even denying a visa, so no matter what, we will be together. I would just like to have it played out like it did in my mind - quickly!

NOA 2 APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so haaaappy!!!!Damon was in Boston for two weeks visiting family, and also for work, when he got back to Denver last night, he called me immediatly to tell me the great news! noa 2 in the mail box!!!
it says we got it on June 2nd and was sent from California on June 6th, and we don't know when it's arrived in the mail box...
but on the uscis website it still says "case received and pending"....

It's now been ten days since I sent it off and they promise to get it to you within ten days, so it had best arrive today! They cashed my cheque over a week ago now!

hello cecile and bryan, its tough question thoug..i talk to some of my friends like me January filer too, same timelime, and they have their manila number like 1 week or 2 weeks since they got their NOA2, right now they have already schedule for their interview and medical, thats why im wonderin too coz its been almost 3 weeks i dont have my manila case number yet, i call NVC today and they said they ddnt have our application yet..hmmmm...its unfair for me coz mostly my friends had their manila case number already..im still waiting...ill tell you soon i can have my manila case number..

so maybe it depends case to case....not sure...im sad actually today knowing NVC hasnt our case yet....but i hope soon.....Goodluck..like you im excited to be with my baby....

it's strange that NVC doesn't have your case yet. maybe you should give a call to the USCIS to know if they have sent it already?

What's up everyone!! My name is Justin and my fiance, Valerie, and I just now have come across this forum! Unreal, huh? I can't believe it took us this long to find it! It's nice to know that there is so much support out there from people who are experiencing the same "torture" as us! We submitted our I-129 in January, and received our NOA 1 on January 18, but are still waiting for our NOA 2!! It's so nerve wrecking to see so many being able to take that next step in their journey, while we along with some of you, still hang out in the dust!! We are so happy for those who have received their approval and we look forward to joining you hopefully sooner than later!
