Oooohhhh I hope I get my wish! I am just so dang nervous I just want this approval out of the way! Gareth is more scared about the whole getting through customs part! That is why he is having such a hard time being excited throughout all this part....poor thing got so traumatized in Detroit in December We just hope and pray it won't affect anything this time! I keep telling him it won't since we are doing everything by the book so it doesn't appear as if he is going to overstay on wrong type of visa like it looked last time! I mean they told him it won't give him troubles in the future and he wasn't deported or anything he just was denied entry because of the suspicion of him coming to stay when he was coming on a 6 month visa....Anyway so yeah we are nervous about that so we won't truly celebrate until he is here in my arms but I cannot help but get excited every step closer!!!!

I completly understand your feelings sunnybear!! I wanted to spend some time with my fiancé, but was so terrified about immigration (being denied, and have to turn back).
Now, I am really excited for every steps we're doing, but I know even if I will have all my papers and visa, I will be pretty nervous and stressed about going through us customs!
Being in the arms of my baby will just be the best day ever!!!

It seems like the e-mail notification of the NOA2 isn't working quite right (as noted by Rachel) so for those who were touched last week but didn't see anything e-mailed to them - make sure to check your mail, there could be a present there for you.

Ha - one of the first things I did was to ask Alex what date the NoA2 gave. It's funny that USCIS seems to be updating with touches but not with actual approvals!

My dad e-mailed Alex's mother last night. When the parents start collaborating you know it's really happening!

Good afternoon all. I'm so tired. I was up late doing laundry! I fully intended to start the week by planning the next stages but I'm not in the right mood to have to think about that right now. Sometime this week I really have to see my GP and sort out what vaccines I need (will be cheaper than having to do it at the medical).

Yeah I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I had the MMR vaccine when I was 5 and I have a very dog-eared and sorry-looking card that says this, but I need to have it again and also the tetanus and HPV vaccines, too. So even though I have my records it's not making much of a difference to me!

If you can't get it it's my understanding they'll just give you the vaccines again...

I think you're right...I think there's also an antibody test that your doctor can do to see if you have had them or not. I would call your doctor and see what they think. If at all possible, try to see the doctor who will do your medical interview (Dennis is doing the same thing because he's missing a couple vaccinations).

Congratulations to everyone who got their NOA2!

I'm back from a long weekend... it's going to be hard to start working again. Bryan started to gather all the documents he will have to send me for the interview, even though we haven't had NOA2 yet. I woke up this morning and there was 6 emails from him asking me questions about what he has to send me Men can't do anything without women Anyway, him gathering all these documents makes me feel like the reunion is closer

Welcome back, Cecile! I'm still banking on this being your week!

I was a little frustrated yesterday. I said to Alex, 'have you gathered together the affidavit of support and other supporting documents' and he said, 'what do I need?', expecting me to point him to the right guides. Then, when I said to look at the guides on VJ, he couldn't find them. Eventually I expressed my disappointment and to his credit he then read all the guides while I was working and when I spoke with him last night he had made himself familiar with all of the terms and was actually showing an interest.

I've sent the link of the guides several times to Bryan, but I know he still expects me to list everything he has to do. So, I do it. I sent him a very detailed list with absolutely everything, well ordered (financial stuff / proofs / etc). Then a week later (yesterday) I asked if he had started and he said that he meant to and that he would start after work. And he did start. Everytime he has a question he asks to me, or (even better) he tells me to look for the answer on VJ!
At least that way, I'm in control of the process and I can check everything he does and when he does it.

It looks like our men are pretty similar

I doubt it is a men thing... I kinda start to think it is a USC thing as my SO is exactly like yours as I am also the one who has to tell her what to do

I've noticed that in the case of USC/Western European couples it is often the WE half of the couple who posts here. Maybe our other halves are just recognising our obvious superiority.

I read a previous post where they said they were touched but eventually got their approval, but the status wasnt modified. do you think they are not updating the case status? We havnt received any email though.

That was me! I didn't get an e-mail either; we only knew it was the NoA2 when it arrived in the postal mail. So it is possible that this touch signifies an approval; just don't get your hopes up falsely! (Hard, I know!)
