Hi All,

In about 5 hrs I'll be going out to the airport so I can be with my baby in Manila. I am spending the whole process with her from exam through interview. I will be arriving in Manila at about 10:30pm. She will be arriving the following Saturday afternoon on the flight from Ozamiz City and I will meet her at the airport.

One thing to note that I am taking as a good omen, I was cleaning out my wallet and came across an old fortune from a Cookie I saved a few years back. It was pre-Sunshine but I liked what it said:

All your hard work will pay off in the end


After the interview, we are staying for a couple of extra days in Manila and then travelling back to her home town of Tangub City. we are spending two weeks there with plans to travel back together (yes I took the chance).

Now a question, should I ask for embassy pick up knowing that I am going to be there for two more weeks, or should I wait for delivery?

I will try and keep this updated.

Since you are staying for a couple of days in Manila after the interview, ask for a pick-up . Goodluck!!

Well, I just landed (about 2 hrs ago) and I am now at the Miramar Hotel. I will meet Maymay tomorrow afternoon as she is flying in from Ozamiz city. I had no problems getting here and for the first time in three tries I didn't have to sleep at O'Hare and all other connections went smoothly. I think this is a sign of good things to come....I'm praying my ### off.

Tomorrow after we meet we will rest and recover for a bit, and spend Sunday exploring around Manila. Probably the malls, this is her first time here. Mine too technically, as the last time was just travelling between terms 1 and 2

I wish we could find the time. I just got an IM from a friend who is in vacation in Iligan. She works in Korea so is home for a short vacation. One of these days I am going to make the OTT Wednesday meeting or Spooks on Friday

Have a good trip and good luck with the interview. You can probably answer your own question about the pick up once you get through the interview or at least should have a good idea of where you stand.
