Darren and I have been trying to find the forms and fill them out before packet 3 arrives...

So far, we have the following:

DS-230 Part I
DS-156
DS-156K
DS-157
Letter from my employer for the Affadavit of Support

I have no idea what the DS-2000 is though...I have spent quite some time looking for it, even called USCIS; lady who talked to me was very nice, but info wasn't very helpful...

Which form do I need: I-134 or I-864? I've gotten conflicting info on this...what does the embassy want?

Is there anything else we could be gathering to send back to embassy to get the ball rolling there?

Thanks!!!

Had to look this one up. The DS 2000 is 'Evidence Which May Be Presented to Meet the Public Charge Provisions of the Law by Applicants for a Fiancé(e), V or Kii Visa'. It appears that this is referring to what evidence you can use in accordance w/ the affidavit of support.

FWIW, the USCIS will know nothing about consular forms. The USCIS is under the Dept. of Homeland Security; the consulates are under the US Dept. of State.

Use the I 134. The I 864 is used at AOS for K1ers.

Be sure to have the UKers police certificate - although you will take it to the interview, you'll want to mark on the checklist that you already have it. That can take a little time to get (apparently less time now than it used to) but you'll still want to hop to it if you've not already done it.

I've found this section of the site to be very helpful:
