It's been a while since I've been on the site, but I am in urgent need of an answer from anyone whose gone thru the interview stage already. My fiance will be going for his interview in two weeks in Lagos. On this site, it says that I should send him my affidavit of support, some evidence of an on-going relationship......and also the copy of all the papers I submitted when filing the fiance visa petition. Is this neccessary?? Must I really send all the papers that I sent when filing the petition? DO I need to resend my birth certificate, proof of having met, geographic info sheets, etc?? Doesn't this all get sent to them by the National Visa Center after they approve the petition?? Please let me know ASAP. I need to send this out on Friday but I dont' want to send a bunch of unneccessary documents. Also, does he pay the fee in Naira or Dollar? He also asked me about his visa application........he said he must attach a passport pic to it but he doesn't know if he should staple it, use paper clip......'gum' it (as he called it), or what?? any ideas?? Thanks for any and all help.

You do not need to send him a copy of your initial petiton. That is just so that he could see what you initially set, basically for your own records.
The visa fee is paid in the US equivalent of the local currency (someone correct me if I am wrong).
I have no idea about stapling the picture.

remember the phone cards as proof of you all talkin on the phone. Concerning the picture, I can remember they wanted the picture to be a certain size and attached a certain way, but the directions were attached. Good Luck!!

Thank you. I don't think you can use the phone cards as evidence though. At least that's what I've been reading.

If you can get call logs showing that you were calling his number, you can use that.
Are you using DHL or FedEx? It takes a while to get there any other way. Just want to be on the safe side and be sure it'll get to him on time.

I recommend sending the initial petition so he will have it to review. I would sent him any phone cards an photos and proof of meeting and proof of continuing contact. It is better to send too many documents than not enough.
