Hello everyone.
A full year after our civil wedding, we have finally saved enough money to return to India for our religious marriage ceremonies. We are very happy, but have a problem finding a company to make our wedding cards. We wish to have beautiful Indian style cards with handmade paper and kundan work, but we need them customized to reflect both of our religious faiths. It seemed to me that ordering from a u.s. based company would make it easier to get our special needs met, but we are having a hard time finding anyone. We would be so grateful for any advice.

You can get your custome made cards from India.. Tell any of yoru relatives to mail you designs online. Many card makers have computers in India , scanners and internet and are highly sophisticated. You can make them , label them and mail them from India.... which will be more cheaper and all your relatives in USA or India will get them within 7 daysl...... many couples and americans do that.... its alll about OUTSOURCING.....

I have found a couple web storefronts for Indian companies with beautiful cards...

Would we have any success getting an India-based card maker to alter one of their base designs so there are two different religious symbols on the front of the card? All the interfaith samples just have no symbols at all.

Never done this before, I feel rather stupid <shrug>

You shouldn't have much problem, there are a lot of talented graphic artist in India, so to modify a greeting card should not be much of an issue, It will also cost you much less compare to what you would pay here. You can have it custome made, and nowadays with internet, fax you can send the design to them and they will do it for you, but best if you have a local contact in India as a 3rd party to check it out for you.

Dont worry they will give your personal designed cards. You can see their website or call them. There are best c ard makers in Mumbai. All over the world, desis come to Mumbai for their wedding shopping..... SO just chill ... order your weddding card, with your choice of colors, coating, paper, enevelopes.... and mailing style.
