Full Version: Additional security check for K-1??
I just called NVC and was told that the case has additional security check. I filed K-1. Is it normal?

Its not really "normal" but nothing to be concerned with. We also had additional processing at the NVC level. We had a name hit on him and they took a month to clear it. But it WAS cleared. Now we have our interview next week. No worries, just the wait is hard...take care.. good luck

Thanks for the reply. It really sucks to wait at every stage. Oh well.
ayaz, this is not unusual for males being petitioned from Pakistan so hang in there and just take your journey one day at a time. Like you said it is rough having to wait at every stage.

My fiance is female. I dont know if this background check is for her or for me.
They do sometimes pull petitions and double check them at this stage so it could be that they are doing this now.
