Although the screen name is CarolynRitesh, it is Carolyn doing all the 'talking' on VJ! If it had not been for this site, we probably would have done a K-3 visa, but thank God that we found it and are doing the DCF process now!! (Literally changed our plans in 1 day and flew to Delhi to apply on Feb. 6th, and are crossing our fingers for an April interview date!)

Anyway, I am Carolyn and I call the Detroit metro area home, but have lived all over the US, spent a couple of years in the Peace Corps in Kazakstan, and have been living in Bangalore, India for the last 2.5 ish years working as a cross-cultural and language trainer at Microsoft, where incidentally, I met my husband about a month after arriving!

Ritesh is originally from Delhi and is the light of my life! We have been through a lot in the last few years, and he has never left my side through two surgeries, deaths of family members, etc. I came to India with the idea that it would be a 'dry' period for love as the culture is arranged marriages, but man did I get a happy surprise in Ritesh! (Isn't that the way it always happens!)

We are hoping to be in the US by the end of May, spend some time with my family, and find him a good job in IT (maybe stay with Microsoft, but who knows these days?!) and settle into a new life in the States for some time.

Thank you VJ and all the supportive members for all the great advice and support - this process would have been sooooo complicated without you!
