My wife and I are in the process of filing her AOS packet and would like to receive an I-131 to allow her to travel back home to Japan this summer in order to visit her family, especially her newborn niece! Does this reason validate obtaining an I-131? I'm a bit worried because the instructions for the form make it seem as if an I-131 is difficult to obtain and will only be granted in dire/emergency situations. It requests an explanation of qualifications/warrant for issuing the I-131. Is the aforementioned reason enough to qualify or should I add something more juicy to increase the likelihood of obtaining the I-131? Thank you so much for any input!!! tongue.gif

Also, the I-131 instructions mention a "waiver of inadmissibility". Is this necessary to include with a K-1 visa holder AOS packet? If so, what exactly is it? Thank you!!!

Under a K-1 visa, you don't really have to provide a reason. But just say something: "I would like AP to return home while my I-485 is being processed."

For me, I said for Honeymoon and visit family...(hmm and that's true)
