Sorry everyone, I am too slow about this: So the I-130 has been approved and you are
saying the I-129F is administratively canceled or not worked on anymore. What's next?
Are they sending the I-130 back to the lawyer or whoever filled the paperwork? Will it
sit in some USCIS vault forever? I don't understand the next step. Does it mean we have
to start from the beginning? I read somewhere that "filing the I-129F after I-130 approval
starts the K-3 process, not filing the I-129F starts the CR-1 visa. So, will we all end up with
an automatic CR-1 route? I hope there is a next step.

If USCIS goes the CR-1 way then they will close the I-129F related to the K-3 visa, which will be the one staying behind... they will not send the I-130 to anyone except NVC. If it is by their decision you will not have to start from the begining, they will just process the I-130 and you will continue your trip thru the CR-1 visa, wich in fact nowadays seems to be the best option in the long term.

The next step is to simply wait for USCIS decision as there is not much we can actually do about an administrative decision.

It seems that they are going preferably the CR-1 way, read this it may help:

Thanks for your reply which is helpful. Our stats, wedding and timeline are nearly
identical, only my I-130 was approved already on Sept 6. Will be interesting to
see what will happen. Merci bien.
