I had just looked at your timeline just yesterday and noticed you were only one step away from the interview for citizenship. isn't there any way to work things out? You've come so far together. So I'm a little less wedged about it than I was. I dunno, you get to know people on these forums, you come to respect them, and then you see something horrible like that and you genuinely hurt for them. And then...it's a joke?! I'm all about the dark humor (I practically wet myself from laughing so hard when the guy got shot in the face in the car in Pulp Fiction ), and I'm sure it was meant in good fun, even if the execution wasn't so funny. So I'll just accept it as how it was meant and move on. Glad all is well.

I have to say, I feel the same. Pulp Fiction - hilarious, but Satellite's joke bothered me. I was in shock and worried for a fellow VJ Russian group member. It also bothered me for personal issues. We are all a tight knit group here and support each other through a very trying time. Jason & Sasha just got such terrific news and then this joke pops out of no where. I don't know...

This one was beyond me, my wife wants me to stay away from here so she runs into the kitchen and says look what I posted under your account. And then we both started laughing at it. Anyway, regardless of what anyone believes, I think anyone on here is allowed to joke and laugh about themselves. Satellite, I think what upset folks was the way you called us all "suckers". As if we were all a bunch of fools for caring. We all were genuinely concerned for you. Maybe instead, you could have said something like, "Hey guys, we're all fine! My wife was in a funny mood and playing a little joke..." We might have laughed with you!

He was gonna lie to you guys and say that I got my citizenship and left. He was gonna put this as the reason of him leaving the forum. There are many people that come here looking for needed information and place the future of their family in the hands of others that have been through this process. They put their trust in this respected forum. I don't think they would appreciate feeling the answers received should be treated as highly skeptical.

As for the later implication, I guess all of us low life non-attorneys that never took a bar exam need to get a life since we don't have better things to do. Jeez! There are a quite a few professionals on this forum that don't mind giving their time, wisdom and knowledge to support and assist a fellow VJer along the way.

that is IF he passes the exam.... I have to honestly say that I had no idea who this guy was so he doesn't really need to make a major exit IMO. Just don't log on and post anymore - its simple. I doubt anyone will really miss him so its a win win for everyone.

What a $hitty thing to do! Dark humor aside...it could have been bad news about any other subject, and people may have gotten the funny after the 'jig' was up. But given the subject of this website...to post something apropos to the possible pitfalls of the VJ...AND then come back to call those who offered comfort and sympathy SUCKERS,...it just reeks of arrogance and hauteur! I don't care that it was the wife who got a hold of the account and was playing a joke...that's no excuse. This is not well done...not well done at all!

The first thing that entered my mind when I read her post was that I remember getting some great advice from you in the past; and it was unfortunate that it happened. Then I read your post and laughed.

I don't think it's fair to accuse those who felt a mixture of shock and sympathy on reading the original post of having problems in their own relationship. This is not 'Off topic' where the jokes and humour are usually found, this is the Russian forum where a pretty tight knit supportive group of people hang out and seek advice and support. It is natural therefore that there would be some upset to find that this thread is just a game between the OP and his wife and seemingly at other people's expense.

It's easy to see, if you actually read the thread, that the OP and his wife have very little respect for anyone on these boards. And that disrespect probably extends to you too.

I am far from "not too confident" regarding my relationship. You don't "cry wolf" about something like the OP and spouse did. Did you read all the posts in this thread? People were rushing to the aid of an alleged fallen comrade and found someone laughing in their foolish faces.

I'm glad you found it funny, the majority of us did not!
