well i thought u could apply for the work auth 6 months prior to experation date of the old ead. i guess its only 120 days so they sent me a rfe for proof of why we need the ead early. since then we got the green card and no longer need the ead so should i just ignore the letter and let it get denied since of course its going to be denied anyway or do i have to send them a letter stating we are no longer in need of the ead since we have the green card?

Why would it be denied anyway? I would probably just ignore it... it will probably be approved although you won't need it! Someone correct me if I'm wrong... I'm not sure if it would be worth it to send them a letter. Unless you didn't do biometrics yet or something... well, you could try calling them and just saying you don't need it anymore, I suppose.
