The short version of this is that my wife in, Medellin Colombia received the first info packet from the embassy in Bogota on 31 January. I happened to be in Medellin at the time so we gathered all of the documents required, and I faxed the packet of info back to the embassy on 8 February, when I returned to the states. We are anxious to get this odyssey over with and get the visa in her hands so that we can make travel arrangements for her to come to the USA.
My question is what has been the time frame for the embassy to issue the appointment letter and final packet of info, after receipt of the initial info that we faxed?? The instructions say do not call the embassy and ask for a status, but the wait ( will be a year in April ) is taking a toll on our sanity.
Help, anyone !!!
