Ken y Onelis
Hi, My name is Ken and I met my fiance on an on-line Matrimony service with an office in my Fiance's hometown (Barranquilla, CO). After talking to my fiance Onelis on the phone for roughly 2 1/2 months, I flew to Barranquilla (BAQ) early Nov. '07, to see if she was for real. Things went well, we were both nervous, and wanted to see our relationship work, and in the end of my 5 days with Onelis, I knew that she would be the one.

Fastforward to late December '07. I flew back to BAQ from LAX (Los Angeles International) to spend 2 weeks of QUALITY TIME with Onelis. You really don't know someone until the newness fades and you start being yourself, and this is what happened. Onelis really fell in love with my personality and attitude on life. But to be honest, after 1 week in BAQ, I became really homesick. The food was greasy, the weather was really hot (like August in Riverside, CA where I am from), and the dust and noise started getting to me. I got tired of always speaking Spanish...culture shock crept in.

In late March, I am returning to BAQ for 1 week. This time to spend one more week together and talk to Onelis about our lives and to just hang out. Plans? I want to visit CAFE DEL MAR in Cartegena. I have collected the CAFE DEL MAR series ever since 1995 ("Ibiza Afterhours Vol. 1"), and with Onelis also enjoying Ambient and Trance music, we plan to drink some Ron Medillin, and watch the sun set while being surrounded by some light, fluffy analogue sounds. Should be cool.

I filed for a K-1 and K-2 for Onelis and her son Johan (5 yrs. old). This paperwork was received by the USCIS in Laguna Niguel, CA on January 23rd, 2008. I really want for Onelis and I to be together, to start a family, and to share a positive life together. I am divorced, but with no children. My ex and I are on speaking terms, but because I don't respect people who don't or can't tell the truth, we are not "friends." I'm not burning bridges either, in case paperwork needs to be completed related to my immigration paperwork.

Thanks in advance to all of the nice people here to help Onelis and i start our lives together as a family. I am fortunate to have found this forum, and I am greatful to all or any advice we can use in helping with our immigration paperwork. Saludos!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. With so many of my friends marrying their significant others outside of the U.S., they all told me that they were glad to be doing this.

Here are a few pics of Onelis and I. I look forward to spending more time on this website and with this great community of people who have also made the same decision like I have.
