I want to apply for my mother in law to come for a visit from Mexico. My husband is here on a K3 visa and we are currently applying to adjust his status, do we use a B2 for my mother in law. She is like 80 yrs old and has a house in mexico and land but no $ in an account. Will it be a hard/long process? Any help is appreciated.

She applies, not you.

Mexicans ae isued the most B Visa's, but she does not sound an obvious candidate.

Pretty simple and relatively quick, and you only have the fee at risk.

Indeed, she applies on her own. You shouldn't have a problem, as long as she shows ties to Mexico I think. I had a B visa since I was 5 years old; and believe me, I didn't have any assets back then wink.gif
