I have a letter from the hospital and attending physician? Can I get an expedite through nvc?

I wouldnt hurt to try. You never know when you might come across a sympathetic USCIS employee. You need help and the best one for the job is your husband. I say go for it. good.gif

Well Meriem, we are out of uscis and this is not a k3 so it isnt breezing through nvc like k1s and k3s. I have severe asthma and they are having to do stress dosed steroids to keep me from respiratory failure and I will probably have to be aspirated as time goes by if it doesnt improve. The hospital and the head physician of the high risk obstetrics have written a letter rquesting the expedite because at this point I really need the help. My husband has had no luck at the embassy because our petition is not there. ITs at NVC. I really dont need a uscis employee any more because its done there... Its sitting at nvc. I am actually talking about expediting the ds230 and the i864 and processing them at the embassy innstead of 3 more months at nvc and then a 2 month wait for an interview and then god knows how much longer for checks.. I cant make it till 7 or 8 months un assisted and i was terrified that i will not make it to term just because my breathing is so bad. The steroids are helping some but i cant imagine 6 months of this all alone. I am praying my lawyer starts running with the expedite letter and knows what to do

Wahrania good luck but can you possibly move somewhere closer to some helpful relatives? My congressman sent a letter requesting Cairo to expedite due to my arthritis but obviously they could care less. Maybe NVC will be more sympathetic but I would opt now for something you can control like actually moving near family or having someone come in to help you like a good friend once or twice a week.

Even hiring someone to do the heavy housework can help. I did that recently and omg what a difference in my attitude. My house was not spic and span before because I just wasn't having many good days in a row and now that it's clean it makes me feel so much happier.

housework is not really the problem . My breathing has deteriorated to a dangerous level and they cannot find out why exactly. I was exposed to a great deal of diesel pollution in Algeria because we slept across the street from an oil refinery at the port that was literally spewing fumes and the air was like soup because it was cold and foggy and it went into my lungs ( i am talking about 400 yards from tankers...thats where our hotel was. I was ok till we stayed there and since then its as if my lungs were burned

I say do what you can to see if you can get your case expedited. You never know unless you try.

I hope that you get it. Take care of yourself and your baby rose.gif

i agree bridget... maybe no one will do anything... i have been waiting on the i 864 and the ds230 packet forever it seems. They were sent out on February 4th ( um generated) so maybe its another week before its mailed... so that would put it at my lawyers some time this week. I sent him 2007 taxes and my letter from the hospital on letter head to include with my paperwork. I am not exactly sure how expedites work at the nvc level I am almost done there anyway ( both fee bills are paid, they are just waiting on my packages and documents. Our ds230 is really short cause hes only lived one place his whole life except the army and hes had the same job for years... he works in a clerical job so there is not much to his life and past...i really need him here with me...but like you said bridge.. there may not be much chance... i am classified as high risk and my recent hospitalizations inpatient are listed and its on hospital letterhead... i dont know how much more the lawyer neeeds than this gees

It wouldn't hurt to try - but it depends on whether or not they've got a rubber stamp that fits your situation.

More often than not, they don't.

But again - when you ask, what's the worst that can happen - they say no. Just go for it.

I really don't know about expeditions but want to tell you that you and your baby are certainly in my prayers. I hope that it works if you go that route and I pray that your health gets better. Please be careful and God bless!

Anything and everything is worth trying!! Just take care of yourself and the baby and all other things will fall into place. Best of luck!
