As i have mentioned, I recently got I-130 approval (and assuming K-3 petitioning is dead as many seem to believe), I'm looking for a likely interview date (time from NOA2 to interview date).

The USCIS time frame for Russia 130 petitions is an alarming 199 days between NOA2 and interview. Can that be true? Looking for further information from VJ members in the Russian forum.

Thanks.

That does sound long, our K1 NOA2 to interview was 101 days for comparison.

Our wait from NOA2 to interview was less than 90 days. I think it all depends how quickly your petition gets to NVC after approval. From NVC to interview was about 60 days. Hope this helps.

Our wait to interview will be 84 days. NVC only had the petition for 3 days before it went to the consulate. It was in transit 3 days, then it sat in the mailroom of the consulate for 2 weeks, then they scheduled the interview for 60 days after that.

The process for K1 and CR1 is very different. Look at CR1 forum, that is why in general it takes at least 6 months from NOA2 to interview for CR1 filers.

By the way, congratulations on your apporval!!! And a question how did you manage to get it so soon? We sent our petition on October 22nd and still nothing. And as far as I know VSC just finished August petitions.

Like everyone else, I have no idea how things work with the USCIS.

Yeah, Sean. It is a crapshoot. I just got my NOA-2 today and called the NVC. The timeframe guide says two weeks but I called just to see, and maybe get a case number. They gave me that, and told me that the Moscow Consulate already has it. I was surprised but I know it really means nothing as it could sit there for 2 days, or 2 weeks, or 2 months before they schedule an interview. blink.gif

Thanks to everyone for replying.

Unfortunately I forgot that most folks on the Russian forum are going K-1 and I am now forced to go CR-1 (K-3 seems in limbo at the present time). So, you lucky folks only stay in NVA for a fews days or weeks...the CR-1 can take a number of months depending on various issues.
