Happy Caturday morning !






Howdy ya'll. My husband has developed a taste for country music ... Could I be arrested for cruelty or neglect because of this !?!?!? It wasn't my fault, officer !! It was that damned Kenny Chesney!!

Seriously though, he likes the guitar and beats and he says it's easier to understand than 50 cent or Pitbull .... I will revive the music thread and let somebody give me suggestions on country music to download that won't be too bad. I grew up listening to it, but all of my knowledge is limited to Travis Tritt, Reba McEntire, or Hank Jr....

The cat pics are so funny. I wish my Princessa would do something cute. She eats, sleeps, uses the box and sleeps some more.

I have my 4 yr old granddaughter,Annalee, this weekend. Hachemi stayed up late to study last night and she is mad cause she cant get him to wake up this morning. She loves him so much.
The university in Setif finally got off their bum and sent Hachemi's transcript to World Education Services. We got the evaluation of his transcript in the mail on Tuesday. They accepted his diploma and approved an equivalent of 90 hours of his course work from an accredited university. It took several months and many trips for Hachemi's family to the university to get this done,. If you spouse is planning to go to college, get their transcript evaluated early. Even if your spouse did not go to college they will need their high school transcript evaluated.

I'm at my desk daydreaming of sand and sun. I have so much to do in the next 2 days! Today I work til 5pm, then pick up Lexy for a sleepover. I have to wash clothes, clean the house, clean out the car, get La Princessa stocked up on food, pack, oh my. I leave Illinois soon.

I used a really cool site to determine gas cost for my car. www.fuelcostcalculator.com For my Sentra, it will take $102.00 each way. My biggest concern is medication time. I take my pill at 10pm. I plan on driving thru the night. The pill makes me dizzy and sleepy. I hate to go off the meds cold turkey, it may cause erratic behaviour. And that would not be healthy for anyone.

Monnik....my fiancee loves Alan Jackson (his fav), Brad Paisley and Josh Turner songs. It is so cute to hear him in his accent singing the song "Little Bitty" by Alan Jackson. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!! I laugh though because he heard Garth Brooks sing and he thinks he sucks He also is a snoop dog kind of guy...not too sure if he understand the word but my man can dance to any beat!!

Jackie, you be careful when you go out of town.

I'm with you Bridget girl, I want to plop down and not move...well it's getting kind of hard to move much, lol! I find out next Wednesday when baby Malek will be born...probably a c-section. I hope you all have a great weekend and try and stay warm!!

Guess what came in the mail today???? The PR card *&* the Welcome letter!!!! Now, if only hubby will wake up so he can actually open them!!!

I just got home - my mom & I went to a "Women's Wellness Expo" together this morning at Pennington Biomedical Research Center and it was really good. Listened to a coupla good lectures, got some freebies, had some free health screenings, got fed a nice salad for lunch. Now I've got to head out to do a little shopping.

Now that is adorable. A lovely sentiment


I emerged from bed about 1pm and Im having a really hard time resisting the gravitational pull of the mattress. I would have just stayed in there, but big fat thunder rolls woke me up. I may just sleep all the way through to Monday morning. I still need to finish packing my hospital bag, buy/put batteries in all the baby's equipment, and put the carseat back together. Maybe if I stare at it I can accomplish this through telekenwhatever.


Had to pop in here. Its been a very long time since Ive seen that name. I had a great aunt named Annalee, this was the first time I encountered the name other than her. Very pretty

Slightly OT, my husband used to open every single piece of mail we got, regardless of whether or not it had his name on it. I used to get irritated with him for this, not because I was expecting secret letters, but because other people's mail is private (and he needed to learn to respect federal laws). He was forever hoping for his green card to magically appear in the mail after all the waiting and one day he saw an envelope decorated with the Statue of Liberty and the flag. He tore into it, thinking it was his welcome to America letter. But it turned out to be a loan offer for me. Bless his heart, I hated to point out to him that 1) USCIS isnt going to send you anything in a flashy envelope and 2) They wouldnt send his green card to my name.

I"m installing a new printer and the ##%% company left out the black ink cartridge. Not like they're cheap either those suckers are expensive and I have three printers to supply the way my kids print!!!

Have a huge migraine so I am trying to stay away from my living room which is mercilessly shining the sun in. Got some icky errands done and will be headed out to make chicken fajita soup.

My laptop just stopped working! When I turn it on....it goes to the Acer screen..or a black screen...and wont open to the desktop! What do I do? HELP!

It came up to the desktop...and now I am running Avast virus scan. I just need it to make it thru this trip. Speaking of trips, I am excited, I have a huge new change coming up in my life and I will need my friends more now than ever. I need you to be happy for me, let me gush and giggle and help me transition back to some normalacy.

Jackie, I'm so excited for your trip!!! I know it's going to be a lot of driving, but I do hope you'll make it here. Your shimmy lesson and tagine will be waiting. I'll even load up some shisha for you! Be safe doll and we'll be in touch during the drive.

My itinerary may change as the logistics of my trip are not finalized. My plan is to drive south, get into Florida, and then I will decide what comes next. I have several options. I hope I make the right decisions.

Thx. I am looking at maps and looking up sites of possible motels. Damn, this pill is kickin in and I have sooooooooo much to do still. On the road, do you think I should cut my dose in 1/2 or take the whole thing and pull over?

I have no idea what medicine you are taking. If it makes you groggy, by all means find a motel somewhere. Is this medicine something you can go without for a day?
