so My lawyer mailed our paperwork for us. She mailed it yesterday, emailed me the usps tracking number and told me I will be able to track status on it.

I went to usps.com, input the track number, and this is what I get:

".....We attempted to deliver your item at 2:33 PM on February 15, 2008 in MESQUITE, TX 75185 and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. ................."

I want to make sure...is this normal? USCIS is more or less a business address, so why would they not be able to deliver it? wouldnt someone be there at all times to pick up mail? its not a personal mailing address. did we put the wrong address? any body have this happen?

since it's the weekend, I cannot ask my atty, so I want to see if you guys have any ideas.

I wouldn't worry about it if it was sent to the correct address.
You will know more on Tuesday, Monday holiday.
I had same type of message to CSC but it was there next business day. It's a standard response.

good luck

this is normal, normal, normal. Since there is a holiday on Monday, you should see success on Tuesday.

We got the same response too in December. We freaked at first, but it got picked up the next day.
