I was guessing that the thread got axed. I hope it did not cause permanent damage.
I can't believe it is taking so long for your AOS. Everything is always, "hurry up and wait".

Its ok. Our whole visa process took 3/12 months (from the fist NOA to issuance of visa at interview) so having a wait now is probably due us for having such an easy process. My husband seems not care that its taking forever--so I'm just trying to be patient. but I want to hurry up with the citizenship because I'm dreaming of a vacation to Europe and its much easier to travel on a U.S. passport. But we can't start counting until we get the greencard!
How's your baby?

A vacation to Europe sounds great. I wonder how long citizenship takes once one is eligible?
The baby is doing fabulous. He is getting so cute and big. Thanks for asking.

Things are going well here. We are just waiting to hear anything about the AOS and EAD. We are moving next month and dreading having to change our address with USCIS. I'm terrified that right after we move they are going to decide to send something to us and it will be returned undeliverable. I'm praying that everything comes before we move. Possible? Well, I can hope anyway.
As for the forum, I think most of us that were active before now have our SO's here and don't need as much support as before. I also think some newbies are a little bit afraid to post because of the rather... troubled... atmosphere that we have had in here lately.
I'm glad to hear that your baby is doing well. We are talking about having one of our own, but right now we can't financially handle it.
I hope everyone is doing well.

My wife has her interview on May 15, 2006 at the embassy in Nairobi. I am worried because she made the appointment online and they did not send her any paperwork to her after she sent the DS-230 and the money via the bank($100). I am also worried that the affidavit of support was and is wrong that I sent her. I sent her the I-134 and think I should send her the I-864. Other than that this is about it. Also I was stationed there in Kenya, , she has pictures, my orders when I was stationed there, my confirmed travel itentinary when I was there for 45 days in December and Jan. Don't know if I am missing anything else. I miss her.
There, I added something to the forum.
Any ideas...????

Hi everyone.
No news here, just waiting on an interview date for my hubby. Seems like lagos is slow sending out enough interview dates for a CR1 visa. This wait is killing me. I just keep praying.
Hope everyone has a great day. Take care.

We are doing good. Just setteling into life together. We had our wedding on the 15th. It was fantastic despite a tornado warning (luckily we didn't knwo about it until later. If we had it would have upset things, and as it was, we were blisfully unaware). It went really well. It was an outdoor wedding/reception. We started at 6. We had a short ceremony and then had everyone eat. We cut the cake, had a toast, had a dance, an just as that was finished and they took the cake inside it began to rain (about 6:45/7). Everyone grabbed something and pulled it up to the porch and the reception was indoors from then on. A little after 7 the electricity went out. But, everyone was fantastic. It just a little more cosy and close knitt. It was really wonderful even with the weather. So, we are finished with all that and I am crazy finishing out the school year (I'm a teacher). He is working and we just got a second car (for him) so we are just enjoying ourselfs and being together. I still stop in here regularly (about every other day or so), but I'm not on 10 times a day like I used to be. But, I do still find it helpfull to communicate with you all. I also like giving support and advice when people need it. So, I'll continue to be around and lurking.

Just try to hang in there Rose! I distinctly remember the level of agony & frustration I felt while waiting endlessly for Lagos to schedule the interview

. (Case completed in early Aug. Interview not scheduled until November

).
I wish you the best and try to relax. I'm telling you, time is going to fly once your hubby receives the interview date!
