Hello everyone, Just wanted to share our latest Embassy news with you.

A women from the Embassy called and told my husband to be at the Embassy in Cairo at 9 am this morning. They told him to bring pictures, a copy of passport and any greeting cards. He was the first to be seen this morning. They asked him several questions about us, my family, if we spoke on the phone and internet often, what our conversations are about, who were my best friends, family names, his and mine, they looked at the pictures and asked who were the people in the pictures, then told him they wold contact him soon to send his passport.

Is it too early to get my hopes up? God I hope this is the last step before he gets his visa.

I don't know what the deal is with the second interviews, but I do hope its our last until he gets to the states.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes!!!! Being a part of the Visa Journey has been so helpful and encouraging to my husband and I.

That's got to be the million dollar question I would like to know the answer to. I see no real purpose in a second interview . They should have got it right the first time, IMPO.
Hot Guy
it sounds awesome and inshaalah it will be your last step of that long journey
i know i was wondering why those bunch of losers need second interview ?
in fact there is no answer for that question but they are losers LOL
i hope they will hire good people at the embassy someday instead of that clean version of hell people

my husband had his interview today also and they gave his passport back and said they will call him soon, what does this mean he doesnt get the visa? he had to pay for DHL and everything, he had all of the above you mentioned , i just cant undersatnd why he didnt get his visa .usually they keep his passport but they gave it back to him mad.gif mad.gif
Nagishkaw
Sometimes they keep the passport, sometimes they don't. I would not go by that as far as a denial or approval. The good news is, if at any time the CO was to suspect fraud or think the case should be denied, the interview would have stopped right then and there. Perhaps it is a case of different CO's doing different things, and honestly I wish had some straight answers for you.
" Clean version of hell " ? Yep.

Ill be looking for your visa in hand post soon good.gif
Cheryl & Medo
At Medo's second interview they gave him back his passport and he is suppose to return it with the new police report and medical......
And when they called him to come in they told him that he didn't need to bring any thing in. Thank God he took pictures phone bills and e-mails with cus they asked to see the stuff for proof

Did they tell him to get a new police report and medical exam?

No they didn't ask him to do that. They just said they will contact him to send his passport. Do you think he should go ahead and get these things done just to make sure?

They don't always keep the passport. They gave my husband's passport back as well but kept the marriage certificate. When I asked them if he could please have it back so he could add me to his id they said no. I honestly dont' think there's a rhyme or reason to what they do over there in terms of giving or taking passports and that type of stuff. Some ask for a second police report and medical and some do not. That has to be the most unorganized embassy or at least in the top ten.

I would just assume that he will undergo the same administrative processing that many of us are going through. I'll add you to the ever growing list that we have currently and hope for the best. I know it sucks especially since you already went through AP the first time around but I'm thinking since so much time has passed they want to verify the new and current information this time around.

Hang in there it is tough but others say it's worth it so I have to believe them! lol
