By the way, anyone knows what is the difference between "notice date" and "receipt date" on NOA1 letter? I see that my receipt date is Sept 17th, notice date is Oct 4th, but online status says that case was received Oct 3rd.

I think ...
"Receipt Date" = Date they physically received your file
"Notice Date" = Date the NOA1 was issued

In my case, the receipt date was April 11, notice date was April 16, but the online status has a receipt date that is two weeks later.

Receipt Date = 07/14/08
Notice Date = 07/15/08
"In our mailbox" Date = 07/23/08

Hi, you can add me to this long list. Mailed to VSC on April 5, 08. Received notice of extension on April 18, 08. Fingerprints done May 07, 08. Last touch on May 08, 08. It is so upsetting that Vermount takes forever to process our cases....

Hello,

I had my biometrics today. It was very done very efficiently. They had problems again getting some of my prints so I'm thinking maybe they will be rejected and I will have to obtain police records again.

They also took the I-94 from my passport.

I guess the long wait now really begins...

It appears the H visas have been mostly worked on and that they are back to I-751's a little bit. We are just hoping my husband conditions get lifted before December.

Please update our timeline. My wife's 10-year green card was finally approved (10 months 4 days after her NOA1 date) and the card arrived in the mail this afternoon:

07/15/08 : Card production ordered
07/24/08 : Card arrived in the mail

Sorry for the delay in the update, my wife did not want to post her approval until she actually received the new card. She has a friend in California who visa interview in China was on the same day as hers. My wife does not understand (don't we all !!!) why her friend's removal process was much shorter (3 months versus 10 months) than hers.

She had a hard time believing that while we all pay the same money to the same organization, one group (CSC) can work so much quicker than the other (VSC). During the wait (particularly after her friend was approved) she believed USCIS would reject her filing because it was taking so long !!! So she wanted to be sure that the card actually arrived at our house before she would "advertise" the approval.

So, all well that ends well !!! Easy to say this after the fact. We want to thank the support we received at this website and it's members. It great to have all your support during the long ride.

Ah yes, I see what you mean now. I really wish people would USE THE LATEST VERSION OF THE LIST when updating! If I have time later, I'll see if I can't go through and identify where people have been inadvertently dropped.
