My girl and I went through the K-1 visa process and got married 3 weeks ago. We are now filling out the forms for adjustment of status but we are stuck on one of the questions on the I-765.

16 requires us to pick our eligibility category and fill in the corrisponding letter and number.

It seems simple enough but the descriptons of the eligibility descriptions are short and/or confusing. Can anyone that went through the k-1 visa process shed some light on this subject? what category might we be? we live in austin, TX, where would we send it to?

I appreciate the help.

Thank you invirginia. So does that mean when the 90 days is up we have to apply for another EAD that can be renewed? So that will be another 3 months to process?!?!?

If you are filing EAD along with your AOS then use c(9) as the category. That way when your EAD expires you can apply to re-new it.

You send it along with your AOS packet to Chicago lockbox address.
