Joel and I are considering a trip to Puerto Rico. I know PR is a US territory...I don't need a passport to fly there. What about Joel though...will he be able to fly there if we don't have his AP yet?

No. Flying between the US and PR is akin to flying from FL to NY.
Only people entering PR from foreign countries need passports. If Joel was to go to Venezuela from the US instead of PR, he would then need AP.
PR is a commonwealth country, yet considered a "colony" in the eyes of the US.
I should know. I was born AND raised there.

Good...I knew this was a simple answer, but was hoping to get someone else's take on this. Thanks so much

Further to this, do non-US citizens go through customs? And is it ok to fly even if my visitors visa has expired but I have applied for AOS?
