Hey don't forget me ladies,

I check in regularly as well!!

Beetee you're almost there!! but as far as what to do now, well you just have to wait for the letter (I think), I remember that's what happened to me (but I know your case is different), whatever happens you're so close now!

Vicky you're not alone, we ALL keep checking in

good.gif
Baileyj96
Hi Paul.

Thanks everyone for checking in. They didn't do anything with ours this time except move us back down to the bottom of the list. Hey ........is that considered movement? laughing.gif

So excited for Beetee. Hope she gets something fast.

Hi Paul,

nice of you to stop by - how is the AOS going?? biggrin.gif

Guess, I'm almost there...am starting to bite nails waiting for the decision. I'm going to email them, perhaps call them when they are open to see if they have any info for me. They kept my passport since the interview, so I'm not going to send them anything...I wonder what I will be waiting for huh.gif oh well, perhaps they will shed some light on the next steps for me.

Vicky and I are still hanging in there, trying not to yap yap too much. I hope that she hears something soon too, and that her case goes from Pending to Complete, the Under review is just nervewrecking. tongue_ss.gif

I keep checking on things here, seeing how you ladies are doing, this is an unbelievable wait you are having to go through and there is not much I can say to help, but I will be watching to see the approvals from you and pray that it is not much longer. good.gif

We are waiting for our interview date, medical is booked and we are praying that we will not need a waiver, long story but lets just say hubby never did anything bad, no drugs, just young and stupid, plus going through a bad divorce and all of this was over 28 years ago, so I suppose it could go either way. In the nicest possible way, I hope we don't have to come in here for months, if you understand my meaning wink.gif

Will keep on checking in with you all and hopefully will see some good news soon good.gif

Thanks for the cheering and support Munchkins, it's a long and nervewrecking wait for the I-601 waiver, I don't wish it on anyone - such torture.

I hope that you get an interview date real soon, and that you don't need an I-601 waiver. Keep us updated good.gif
new orleans bound
""Good morning,

Hi New Orleans. Stop in anytime. There seems to be only two of us waiting now. Doesn't seem to be anyone wanting to join in with us to keep the thread going. Your more than welcome to join in with us anytime. Do you have any information on how long it takes in Canada? I think I've seen a few people who have filed waivers in Canada. Do those go through Vermont? Hope it doesn't take too long for you. I know no matter how long it is, it seems like forever.

Best wishes to you,
Vicky ""

I must say that I really dislike this newness of the operation of this place. I liked it better when I was able to qutoe more easily and HAD spell check. BUT anyways Vicky I haven't had much luck with my lawyer contacting DHS nor have I. I filed the wiaver here in Canada for our interview in March and we still haven't heard squat. It's now 7 months without a word. Calling has NOT been successful either. I can't believe I have had this much trouble for an over stay. I can only immigiane the bull we'd be going through if I committed a crime. So when my ban is for an overstay which technically wasn't an overstay, we're hoping the I-130 get finally approved. Ban is going to be lifted in 10 months and I'm taking bets- MONEY only, on the fact that the ban will be lifted before DHS and INS realize that and I get my woderful paperwork APPROVED. Unless they think I looked at them the wrong way and if that happenns.......

Joanna
Baileyj96
Dang New Orleans I thought I had read that Canada takes a pretty long time for waivers. Kind of puts us in our place for whining about 12 to 15 weeks. A few went slightly over that but still it's a lot better than waiting over 7 months. I do think there is one or two who post on here that are going through Canada and from what I remember they are having the same problems. Makes you wonder why it's so different between embassy's. You would think in this day and age, with technology things would be more standardized. Guess we will never figure out how things work. Guess we have to remember it is the government. Not that it should make a difference.

I wish you the best and I do hope you hear something before the ban is actually lifted. Don't mean to make light of your situation but I don't think I will take you up on that bet. no0pb.gif (just trying to make you smile)

Oh and we do have spell check here. Just over from the font and size. (abc and check) I usually forget to use it. tongue.gif You will get the hang of it.

Have a good evening,
Vicky
Baileyj96
Hi Munchkins,

Thanks for the well wishes. I know where you are coming from. We are kind of in the same situation as you two. Ours was over 24 years ago and was when he was young and stupid. It stinks having to go through this but at least it was expected. I think I would have had heart failure if he had went to the interview and they denied him and I knew nothing at all about the waiver process. I spent all last summer reading and researching and we waited to file in the late fall. Tried to figure out how long everything was going to take. I figured October so I'm doing ok even though it's bugging me now waiting knowing we are getting close to hearing something. It actually scares the crap out of me now. Knowing that soon we will learn our fate. Just have to keep your chin up and have a positive attitude. Gets hard sometime but you have good days where you are very hopeful then once in a while you have those nasty days where your mind starts to think ........what if.

geez i'm blabbing again..................

Keep your positive attitude and good luck on your interview. I hope that you don't need to go through this. But if you do you WILL be fine. yes.gif

Best wishes,
Vicky

We went through Dublin, but luckily we did not need a waiver(it seems drunk & disorderly was not a big deal to them afterall-thank God). So I am just here waiting for my man to get here. He should be here in a month. I hope you get good news VERY soon-I can only imagine how you all feel rose.gif

Hey, Beetee! You're finally complete. I hope they don't make you wait too long! What torture, piled on top of the torture of waiting for so flipping long! I'm thinking of you today and hoping it's good news.

Vicky, now we're just waiting on you to hear some good news How many weeks has it been for you guys? I can't remember, but I know you've got it down to exactly how many weeks and days you've been waiting! Just can't help it, huh?

Well, all, have a good day. Trying to get my work done so I can get out of town. Why do they always load you down with work right before you leave?! I'll be so glad to step on that plane. yes.gif

Hello cmltdg

Hey how was your trip? You never said or did I get that wrong and you haven't been yet? laughing.gif I can't keep anything straight anymore. I can't remember my name most days. Think that's just old age though. biggrin.gif
Well today is our 13th week. We filed the waiver on May 5th but it took them 4 weeks to put us on the list. I think we were put on there June 1st. That's where i'm counting from anyway. I think we at least have a couple more weeks to go. I've been studying that stupid waiver list and from what I can tell we should be around the 4th one in line now. They keep moving us around but I printed out the last 8 or 9 updates. Yes I know I'm so sad. laughing.gif We will get there soon enough. Just keep puttering a little at a time. Beetee and I pm each other a few times a day. Do our regular ranting and whining. But we are doing fine. Just wish she could get someone to tell her something so she doesn't have to wait any longer. So cruel.

Thanks for keeping an eye on us. good.gif

Irish,
wow, that's wonderful to hear, no waiver pheeeeew good.gif I hope that you get a wonderful reunion next month rose.gif

Hi Angela

Welcome aboard. Sorry to hear that you will be filing a waiver. We all know how hard that is and don't wish this on anyone. Good luck with everything and Best wishes to you. I'll add you to our list and when you get everything filed let us know and we can update you. We hope the list helps others that need to file a waiver. Kind of helps being able to see how long things seem to take. Your our first doing the CR-1 visa. Might help some other people who will be doing the same.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'm sure someone here can help you out or at least try their best.

You know, I always wondered about that... I emailed them a couple of weeks before the denial. Tom had booked some time off work and wanted to take me to Scotland and I wanted to find out when we might hear something. We were afraid to just go to Scotland and miss their call. I have always wondered if I messed things up by emailing. I might have called attention to our case and they just grabbed someone to finish things up... someone who didn't know that the embassy had determined that our case was to be treated a little differently.

I certainly hope you get good news soon Vicky. Its so hard to put life on hold for so long. I wonder if they have any idea of what that is like. It affects so many areas.

...and we never did go to Scotland. But we will...

mary
Baileyj96
Thanks mary.

Yeah it's so hard just not knowing. Can't make any plans and If you do you get it in your mind your going to jinx the out come. Sort of like dam if you do and dam if you don't. (i know how to spell it, just trying to be nice) laughing.gif You just keep second guessing everything. Wondering if your hardship letter was good enough. If you did the best you could on it or if you could have done better. Just a million things go through your mind and I guess you just have to stop. But it's sooooooo hard not wondering. I guess you just have to hope for the best and keep your fingers crossed. You know I think the last few weeks are the hardest. It's been 38 weeks since I filed for the K-1 and I'm so ready to hear something. I'm just tired of wondering.

Anyhoo ..........Just got to smile and keep going.................on and on and on and on and on and on. good.gif

What's the waiver for? I thought London was supposed to be pretty good about processing those. sad.gif
Baileyj96
Well London did a big overhaul earlier this year. They are doing more waivers from other countries and I think they have changed or added some personel. It seems to be a little different now that it used to be.

Hi All

Vicky cannot believe this, it's unbelievable that you are still waiting, my heart goes out to you. I know it must be so hard but keep going Vicky, you have the support of such a lot of people on here. Praying for you that you hear some good news soon.

Val rose.gif
Baileyj96
Thanks Val,

I need all the support and prayers I can get right now. I appreciate them so much. I seem to be turning into a flaming basket case right now. I think the ladies I work with are ready to shoot me with a traquilizer gun. yes.gif They aren't brave enough to get close to do it so they thought the gun would work. laughing.gif

Think I'm going to give up thinking it will be any time. Think I would be better off thinking of sometime in January. whistling.gif I'm trying my hardest not to whine but sometimes I feel like exploiding if I don't rant.
Jeez I hate feeling like I'm not in control of anything. I hate that because I always have a plan or a way to figure things out. This time it's out of my hands. Just wait and worry. sad.gif Oh well I guess one of these days it will be over with and I'll be ashamed and embarrased for being such a big baby. biggrin.gif

I'll add mine to that -- YOU ARE NOT A BIG BABY!!! This is very stressful and to keep you waiting so long is absolutely egregious in my mind! We waited over five weeks after they put us under review to get an answer. The way they seemingly play with our lives is just wrong! So you go ahead and rant and do whatever you have to to handle this. That's what we're all here for -- we know and have felt your pain. Even though I'm not going through it anymore, I still remember how hard it was. I'm sure it will be any time now, if you can just hold on!

We keep cheering you on!!! It will come soon! How much longer can they make you wait!

Well we finally sent our first packet off.....we have been procrastinating, plus with the belated honeymoon and me just being nervous about filing again so soon! Boy the prices have went up since last year though. It was $190 for the I-130.....relative petition.....

Nigel glad to hear from you!

Misty you too!

Can you give me some help with all this paperwork now that I have started the process....just one quick question? Do I have to file a I-129f too....I keep seeing all these people that have filed that after their first NOA came through. We are now married......Just confused!!!
Baileyj96
Gosh thanks guys. You made me cry. It doesn't take much to do that these days. blush.gif I have a million people asking me everyday if we have heard anything yet. I feel bad because I actually snapped at one person the other day and I know they mean no harm. I told them not to worry. When we hear something they will know it. (if it's good news) I guess they just don't understand that this is do or die for us. This one part will decide if we get to live the life we dream about. They just don't understand how important this is. There is no way to make them understand. I'm so glad I don't have to try to explain it to you guys. Don't get me wrong. I don't wish this on anyone but it's nice to know that there is someone who knows how this twist you all up on the inside and outside.

Thanks for listening and thanks for not making me feel like a blooming idiot. whistling.gif

Jpkeswim,
Wish I could help you out with the paperwork but I don't know anything about the I-130 or the K-3. You might try posting that in another thread to get a quicker response. Sorry wish I could help. I hope they get all the bugs worked out and things go smoother for you when you guys get to this point. Maybe something will happen before you guys have to go through this again. Wouldn't it be sooooooooo nice? yes.gif

Hi Vicky and one and all

hoping each day to see some of the best news yet, I understand just what you mean about people asking all the time Vicky and it must be hard for you to have to keep answering that you do not know yet. But these people are showing care for you and do not realise just what you are going through, try to grin and bear it Vicky because one of these days, sooner rather than later I am sure you are going to get the OK and then you can shout it from the rooftops kicking.gif

As we have been going 13 months now we get the same reaction from people, asking why we are still here but a lot of them say it very sarcastically because basically they do not believe that we are going. The trouble is that people who are not going through it or have never done anything like this have not got a clue as to how stressful and how long it can take and then at the end of all the processing you can still get a waiver.

I check in most days Vicky - just praying for you good.gif

Not much else to do --- I get frustrated with spinning my wheels too Vicky --- We have been waiting since April 7th about 1 month beyond you --- we knew that Vermont moved extremely slow --- but we were hoping something --- I thought with you going through London you would have gotten yours before us --- and you still might ---

Vicky,

I wanted to thank you again for all the help you gave us way back in the first of the year in gathereing data on the UK for our waiver letter --- it is probably a good thing that we are going for this at different Embassies because I used quite a bit of your backup documentation and details. The last time We called the Help line they told us it was waiting in a que at a Adjudacators Desk---

our letters with the backup documentation were over a hundred pages long --- I just hope that all of it was sent with the waiver to Vermont because when we submitted it in Vancouver Canada they were saying things like, "this is waaaay too much documentation" and "You dont need this or that" --- I had to almost force them to take the waiver package I put together -- -- now I would just scream if they asked us for more documentation ---

No problem KTM.

Hey it was just a few items and it was on the web. I just told you where to find it and that's what we are all here for. To help each other and to support each other. I don't see a problem with people using the same information if it applies to their situation. Many people on the other site do it and the majority of them file at the same embassy.

London did the same to us. They said some of our documentation wasn't necessary and removed it from the package. We just mailed it in to the sub office a couple of days later. Kind of makes you wonder how much of it they throw away after you leave. I doubt now that we will receive an RFE for more information. We have been under review for almost 4 weeks but nothing would surprise me. no0pb.gif

I'm just disappointed because London was doing pretty good about sticking to their 12 to 15 week time frame until our case come up. At least for the cases of people on here. Now they have slowed way down and I'm just getting a little anxious. It makes me feel bad for whining when so many others have to wait much longer than I do. It's just that I've been watching for over a year and expected things to be done by now. I should have known better. yes.gif

I hope things go a little quicker for you than what seems to be the normal for Canada. It's strange why they all can't be close to the same timeline. I can't imagine the stress it causes for people who have to wait much longer than I have. I guess if your expecting it, well that might help a little.

Hang in there and keep at them. Stay strong most of all

Vicky
