exactly what i was thinking! tongue.gif

hopefully some of us can get lucky as well soon! im sick of seeing the same damn thing on the uscis page every couple hours haha i check it WAY more than i should tongue.gif

oh i understand entirely!! i'm the same way i check my myspace, my facebook, here, my email and the immigration site every couple hours. its so depressing to see the date not changing.

really it is! heck im thinking about calling and doing the RFE trick just to get a damn touch on my case, whether it be a fake touch or not it'd be nice to see the date change to something newer hahah
Ralu&Doru
Up untill recently I would count patience as one of my qualities... but this whole thing is testing me down to the last cell in my body and patience is begining to fade away. Especially since nothing is changing. Recently I've seen some people get CR1/IR1 approved in less then 50 days and with no particular reason or emergency involved. I want a strike of luck just like that... because I'm beginning to think is all up to luck unsure.gif

Untill then I'll do my best and wait and pray for a little more patience each day innocent.gif
Vernon Family

Ralu&Doru - I totally understand how you feel! This endless waiting is hard enough, when you see some cases taking 50 days and others taking 350 days it doesn't leave much room for hope. It's too bad they couldn't just put all these people to work doing name checks and just let us in. It's not like we're trying to get in so that we can work illegally or something. We just want to go in to be with our spouses and those we love. I could honestly wait a year while they process my application to work or whatever but I would rather be there with my husband. The thought that he's going to miss out on who knows how long of our daughters first year of life breaks my heart.

Danyel - What exactly is the RFE trick? And wouldn't a fake touch cause it to take longer?

Vernon, it's cases like yours that break my heart knowing that so many people are suffering being away from each other especially when a baby is involved. The strangest part is that despite their requests of proof in order to make sure of "the bona fides of the marital relationship" and the very complex way in which they process the cases, ironically those "not so just" applicants who are doing this just to get to the US will get approved sooner. And I bet no one can say for sure if a case is for real or not.. If one wants to fool them about a relationship they will fool them! There are ways... And those of us doing this just out of love are left behind. I'm so tired of this illogical way of approving cases... it obeys absolutely no rule!
I'm sorry that I'm so upset today. I miss my husband and who knows when I'll see him... Easter is coming soon here in Romania and he won't be able to come and neither can I go to Cleveland...

Danyel, I was going to ask about that "trick". What is that exactly?

This is the RFE trick, its where you call the "request for more evidence" line. where you actually speak to someone. and it usually generates a touch on your case. but the touch doesnt really mean much in this one because its only a touch from them pulling your case online.

With the RFE trick you'll be able to speak with a breathing person on the phone:

* 1 for English,
* 2 for main menu,
* 2 for reporting an issue,
* 4 for more evidence,
* then 2, 1,
* then entered our case number (with the WAC at the beginning, that is 922+10 digits).
* then it took us to a representative in the service center.

For the VERMONT Service Center, follow these steps...

1-800-375-5283

* 1 for English,
* 2 for main menu,
* 2 for reporting an issue,
* 4 for more evidence,
* then 2, 1,
* then entered our case number (with the EAC at the beginning, that is 322+10 digits).
* then it took us to a representative in the service center

Ralu&Doru - thanks for your compassion for our family. sometimes i am so bitter about the fact that this is happening to us now after four years of being together and after a year of marriage. however i think everything happens for a reason and i'm just trying to find the silver lining to our situation. holidays are especially hard when you're celebrating them alone but we have decided that once cody is here we're going to have a couple days of celebrating for all the holidays we missed. its not the same but its the least we can do in our situation. how often do you and your husband get to see one another?

Danyel - so nothing comes from going through all that except to get a touch? it isn't going to prompt them to do a little more with your case? cody hates talking to those people cause they do nothing but bull #### and if you do get a descent person you have to wait forever to do so. then even after waiting forever they just tell you to wait a little longer. for some reason when you call before you submit your application they are really nice and friendly to you but afterwards they treat you like some kind of criminal.

random question - when does everyone's vj time line say their i-130 application could be approved by?

our case needs to reflect vermont not csc

see ours currently says september 24 but a week ago it said october 8

i'm hoping that it keeps going down and down.

cause once they have approved your i-130 application it's still at least 2 months before you can come over right?

Ralu&Doru
Here's what our timeline say: "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as August 27, 2008."
I'm trying not to believe that. I hope my birthday present on June 26 will be an NOA2... I really wish for nothing else.

Regarding how often I get to see my husband, i've seen him in October and then in January, but it's never something planned and scheduled because of his job. Something always comes up so when he has a calmer period he just comes along to Romania. As most of you know, money is also an issue... with a plane ticket of over $ 1000. So most probably I'll see him next after my POE on some airport near Cleveland. huh.gif

Okay now I am confused, how exactly do they figure out our time lines? Ours all seem so different and yet we sent them in at the same time. WEIRD!

Ralu&Doru - I understand what you mean about the money and work and EVERYTHING in the universe seeming to be against us when we're planning a trip to see our spouses. I spoke to your husband about two weeks ago and he was telling me he was going to be coming to see you soon. We were all very jealous! My birthday is May 28 and our daughter is due June 10, so just like you I'm hoping and praying that one of us will get the good news for our birthdays. The only thing for us that would be hard is that the consulate that deals with visas in South Africa is about 5 hours away from me. So hopefully I can get everything taken care of so that by the time we get both passports for my daughter and she's old enough we can make the long trip home. Our goal is to be home before Thanksgiving, but realistically we know it's probably just a dream.

our goal is to have him HERE by christmas, im hoping thats possible.

8 more days and i'll be on my way to venezuela, thank god. im going crazy here!

wow...wow....wow

i really hope that they are right with what people say on here about the people at uscis...

so i called USCIS...luckily there is no RFE on my case wink.gif BUT she pulled my case and looked and said it'll be around another 158 DAYS until its processed!! i was like WHAT??! and i said do you mean from the date i filed or from today, and she said no mam, 158 days from today!!! i wanted to scream but the lady was rather polite so i was being nice, and just said....wow.. and she said i should be happy its only that, that the last lady was calling about her aplication on her 4yr old daughter and her estimated time was 892 days from today, and that i should be grateful its only that amount of time.

im in shock. im upset, and this is crap..... thats like another 5 months....FROM NOW. so aparently the vj timelines may not be so off....that would be september/october time sad.gif

p.s - no touchs on my case were made from this call.

WHAT THE HELL?

158 days?

Then there is all the other time at the consulate!

Is that what you were told when you did the RFE trick?

This is so freaking depressing!

Do not bet any money on the adjudicated time that VJ timeline data states.

If you filed cleanly, there are no discrepancies-problems in you or your petition (names come up clean), they do not have to search for information and no RFE is generated….then you should be able to get an idea on time from the USCIS “Processing Dates”. They claimed last month to be working on September (CSC). They seem to be moving faster and are over the majority of last summer’s petition flood.
Example: We filed I-130 the end of October. This was our date, which was used for the prioritization of when our petition would be processed. We were approved on April 2. The VJ timeline data said it would be June.

Remember that VJ members are only a tiny percent of the overall immigration petition arriving at USCIS. They are suposedly hiring more workers...so they say. If things become more stable over the next couple months, then the VJ timeline data, may become more accurate.

I hope this helps…. and I wish all a quick process.

so alas there is still hope? wink.gif

M and K - okay so i understand if nothing is wrong one could get their application approved before the time line date says. what happens if there is an issue...does that mean it'll be longer than the time line says?

Danyel - there is always hope my dear! that's what i keep telling myself cause if you believe everything the uscis tells you you'd drive yourself nuts!

Hi,

Count me in too with your list of february filers, though our case was filed on the last day of feb tongue.gif

One thing which I did notice is that a lot of people february filers have got their last touch either on 26th of feb or on 14th of March.........just something to ponder about

charisma1
You mean K-3 touches? Some got touches on Apr. 13 and 14... But I still have not seen a sustained level of Jan/Feb. approvals..Only one or two random cases. I believe they are still working on Sept. Oct. Hopefully we'll soon seen many Nov. Dec. as well... and who knows with USCIS, perhaps even many Jan. Feb. and March!

i wouldn't count on seeing dec / jan / feb / march k-3 approvals any time soon.
there will always be the odd case that gets lightening fast processing.
however, its going to take some time for the rest of us.
just keep your head up and it'll all figure itself out!

So after a lot of talking and research we have decided to resubmit our I-129F application, after receiving the letter explaining how they has lost parts of the original application.

At first we were planning on resubmitting it, then we heard how it was slowing down applications and wasn't actually being approved anymore. Having done a lot of research on both here and other websites as well as talking to a lot of couples who have been where we are. Cody and I have decided that this is what is best for us and if it doesn't come through before the I-130 then at least we tried and we're not out any money.

So it was shipped out yesterday and should be there by April 29. Fingers and toes crossed that we get some good news sometime soon after that =) Having something else to track gives hope that our little family may be together sometime before Thanksgiving.

On more exciting news, Cody will be here in 34 days and soon after that we'll be welcoming our daughter into the world. The next two months shall give hope to this waiting process and even more meaning to our lives.

During my daily routine, I came across this: my timeline changed dramatically

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as July 26, 2008*.

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated as early as August 25, 2008*.

I got no more touches since March 14, when the petitions were paired I think.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but has it happened to someone else recently? Actually I am a bit worried.. someone in the same situation as mine, also going with a lawyer got an RFE.. God help we won't get one, although we didn't put any pictures in the file. USCIS officer told us I would only have to take pictures and other proof at the interview in Bucharest, so we only attached Affidavits of a very close friend and of our godparents wacko.gif ... What do you guys think? The last thing I want is an RFE delaying the process.. It's slow enough! unsure.gif

I wouldnt worry too much! If it happens then deal with it, but just keep thoughts high and everything will work itself out. I didn't include any pictures with our application and I know a bunch of people who didn't either. Just cause you haven't had a touch in a long time it doesn't mean you are in for bad news otherwise we would all be in trouble =) good luck!

danyel - our time lines are still close to one another you're august 15 and i'm at august 1. do you know how long the wait at your embassy is after your application is approved? i'm still trying to figure it out for my embassy, but i have heard that it can be a matter of weeks or some even wait months just depending on how fast your embassy works.

well from what i've been hearing from others going through our embassy it takes around a month for an interview, luckily lol it'll be the fastest part of this whole process haha

that's awesome danyel!! maybe you'll be the next to get some good news.

still nothing on our side but then again we haven't gotten our noa1 from our k-3 application so maybe we'll get that news soon.

however, our time line is moving quickly...

Based on time line data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as May 29, 2008*.
Based on time line data, your I130 may be adjudicated as early as July 30, 2008*.

guess things aren't going to be so long and drawn out as we all thought.

hopefully we'll be with our spouses before christmas after all.

Excellent news - very happy for you! Looks like CSC is moving a lot faster than VSC. I filed mine in Dec '07 and not a single touch yet, on either the I-130 or I-129F.

Thank you guys for the congrats. I was the pesimistic never expecting to be approved first! I cannot believe it yet. There's still to go, so here I am pesimistic again smile.gif) I'm trying to figure out what's next and I am so scared of the embassy. Even more scared than of the USCIS no0pb.gif

do you have any idea how long it takes to get an interview and process the application at your embassy?

what are the next steps after your k-3 is approved?

i thought you just waited to be contacted by the embassy.
SPSguy
I hope and pray that USCIS will approve all the Feb. filers soon so they can start approving the March filers.

WOW! More and more people are beginning to realize the benefits of K3 once again.
