Yeah don't worry about that I made my check out to USCIS and they stamped above it. It's not a big deal! I understand what you mean about the printed numbers on the back. I had 5 different sets of numbers printed on mine. They printed the case number in the top left hand corner of my check (back) and the rest were from Bank of America cashing my check. I have heard that in some cases they don't put a case number on the check and you just have to wait a little longer. Don't worry if they cashed your check your NOA1 is on its way. Congratulations!

Wat's up with the USCIS website. The processing dates haven't been updated yet. It still shows February 15 as its posted date. They need to put the updated processing dates for the month of March. This processing dates are good indication of how fast the files are moving. Hopefully they update the dates so, I can stop checking thier website every hour for the update.

i know, i've been waiting for them to update the site as well...knowing them though it'll prolly be a couple more days til they actually update it. i think it took them a week to put up the update last month.

Yeah, I was going crazy as almost everyone got their NOA1 within 2 weeks and I still hadn't gotten mine for over a month. I am just glad that I finally got one and they didn't loose my application. Btw, they recently cashed my check only 2 days ago as well.

Did you send your application to Lockbox that serves Vermont Center or California Center? I guess that could be the difference in quick NOA1, but who knows.

I just hope they approve my NOA2 quicker to make up for it

So today my "last updated" changed from 03-10 to 03-20 but only under application I-130. I am assuming that is the infamous "touch".

Current status has not changed and no new notes.

So the million dollar question.

Why change the "last updated" date?

I think you get separate NOA1 for I-129F as well. So, you can track it once you receive it.

Touched on Easter. I guess these are "TOUCHES". The updated date changed......so I am assuming this is what it means.

I am expecting I guess to see something soon, either something positive or something negative....I don't prefer the latter, I'll take the positive.

remember when i told you we got part of our i-129f application back and they had lost the other part? well i assumed cody had sent it back to them and then last night i found out he had forgotten about it. he's in the middle of moving our entire house so lord only knows how long this is going to put us back. i was thinking about not sending it back to them...but my i-130 estimated date keeps moving back further and further, i figure it cant hurt us anymore.

oh man now i'm even more jealous!! how do you organize the time off from work? it costs so much for cody to come all the way out here and then he only gets two weeks. sad thing is the only reason he is coming the end of may is because our first child is due and we want to be together for the birth. i wish there was something else we can do so we could see each other more, but i guess we have had more time together in the past compared to others. i guess its our turn to spend time apart...i just hope and pray its not for too long cause he's going to miss so much of his daughters life.

does anyone know on what is NOA hard copy is ? We don't have that thing yet so i'm wondering on what is it plus how do we check the status of our application and where. thanks

I'm not exactly sure what you meant about the NOA hard copy. Most of us pulled our receipt numbers off the back of checks and checked our status that way. Getting the NOA1 in the mail is the "hard copy" version - I think this is what you were asking. Basically just means we have a letter from the USCIS saying that they have started our application process, instead of just a number. Does that make more sense?

You can check your case status and see how many times it is touched online at their website. This is the page if you need help getting to it: Case Status Online You have to create a a customer account and you will need your receipt number to link your case to your account.

I filed Feb 26th (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765 bonanza!) via USPS express to Chicago lockbox, tracking shows receipt on Feb 27th, but no word at all since...checks not cashed, nothing. Should I be panicking right now?

I am basically self employed...........I do real estate. I can fly down there for about $500 +/- so it's not too too bad. The most time I have spent with her is one week........so from that aspect I wish it could be more.....to make up for it I go about every 6-8 weeks for at least 3 days......

It's just hard...........I know hard for everyone.........

We'll all make it.....it will just take time....

ah well that certainly works out nicely for you! for cody to come all the way out here it takes almost 2 days and costs anywhere from $1,300 - $2,000 depending on the season. so for us its never just a quick trip out to see one another...its a freaking mission. but you're right we will all make it and hopefully not have to worry about traveling shortly. cody will be here in 57 days so i have something to look forward to. we're still not sure if it will be for 2 or 3 weeks but anything after almost 5 months is going to be heavenly!!

My I-129F was touched today!I'm at VSC.Hope this means something!I have had a couple of touches on it.
