I called NVC last wednesday and they told me the I-864 packet had been mailed. Because of my work schedule I was unable to send the packet I had already prepared by way of James shortcuts til saturday (now I am thinking that is a good thing). I still havent received the I-864 packet via snail mail. Now I am concerned I may have sent prematurely.
Can any one tell me how long it usually takes for the packet to arrive once mailed? And what is the worst thing that could happen if they receive the I-864 packet from me if in fact they had not yet mailed. Am I just worring for nothing?

I had the same concern about it. I called NVC some day(dont remember, I am calling every day, lol) last week and spoke with operator, have been told that " as much as they know my I864 is generated and will be sent some day same week", so I mailed straight away and still didnt receive their letter/notification for it.

Feel better now?
