To be safe, she can secure police clearance. It is very easy to get not unless shes has a criminal record.

Claudeth forgot to get her German clearance translated and it help up getting the visa by about a month.

You can get the police clearance at the local police department in her area within the day. I paid 200 pesos for it (expedited fee). Also, bring a passport size picture, at least 2 copies. Better have all the documents you can get before the interview

police clearance from local police dept. is not necessary anymore (NBI matters most) but the one's from other countries which the applicant had stayed for over 6 months.

lirachadsbaby is right..... no need for police clearance if you don't live in other countries for more than 6 months. NBI clearance is enough!

I just joined VJ. I have a question relevent to this topic. My fiancee has lived and worked in two other countries besides her home coufntry of Philippines. She is currently in Hong Kong, and based on what I read should have no difficulty getting police clearance from there. However, she did spend a year in Singapore but that was over 7 years ago so is not listed on the G 325a form. Will she still need a police clerance from Singapore??

NBI- national bureau of investigation ; have it in carriedo only took 2 mins inspite of people having long line i was prioritize because I had my digitized NBI id.
i took my police clearance in crame along edsa ! took me 2mins.
payed PHP 80 expedite no fixers!!

If she was over 16 years of age when she was in Singapore, then YES, it is required. In Singapore a Police Clearance is called a CNCC (Certificate of No Criminal Conviction). Here is the link with more info and form/instructions for requesting, It took about 5 weeks for ours to come.

Im presently living here in Thailand. We submitted all the papers and we've got the packet 3. One of the requirement is the NBI i used "Ma.theresa Rivera"in my NBI before..I went here in Thailand and i followed my birth certificate and passport named "Theresa Rivera". The problem is we wrote "Theresa" in our K1 visa forms(all forms). If i applied for new NBI in The Philippines are they going to print my old name is the NBI clearance?Please help.....I don't know what to do....I dont want to mess up with the papers.....Please help. And also do i need new finger prints again in the NBI?I'm worried im not in the Philippines....hope some people here can help me here.....

I am looking at the Singapore site...thanks for the link... but I am unsure of one thing. What can I provide as proof that US immigration needs a copy of the CNCC? I have the first notice of action....can I combine that with a quote from the regulations stating that she is required to get that for the fiancee visa? What did you use. I am just hoping to take care of this sooner rather than later so we can make sure we avoid any problems when she has her interview... Thanx in advance!!!
